For the last two seasons relegation has been a real threat.Quite a few people on here blamed Mr kear and wanted him out(without suggesting a realistic replacement).

The start to this season has been beyond anybody's wildest dreams.

Recent results(3 close wins and 1 loss) are being blamed(by some of those same people) on the fact that Mr Kear is leaving.

I don't who the next coach should or could be .Are the current assisstants up to the task of taking over?.

I would really like to here other opinions.

I personally think that the talk of a top 4 finish is a bit ambitious. However a much higher finish than last year should be guaranteed.

I think that should mean much more prize money, which should make it possible to keep or improve on the current squad.

Could someone more knowleable than me please let me know what the prize money is for this season.

It is interesting to read the rhinos forum.

One guy is'nt going to another away game until the middle 8s.

Quite a few want McDermott out with Rowley and Brian Smith suggested as replacements.

One Leeds fan thinks Mr Kear should be appointed because he is a specialist in avoiding relegation.

I for one wlish he was staying at Batley.

Interesting points.

Leeds problems albeit rather amusing arent a jot to do with kear or our club.

Kears been tempted away but stuck to the job in hand I feel is admirable. If wakey play us this season or next I would enjoy the spectacle.

Some coaches and players become stale or complacent. But we all know grass isnt always greener on the otherside

Id keep Kear as long as we can. He's a great coach. We have a good team this year. Carrying a few injuries and still in the top half of the table. I'm not worried about recent performances. Every team has bad spells in a season look at Sheffield and Halifax today. Last season we were fighting relegation from week 4. This season we're at the other end of the table. Get behind the lads and Kear. Booing this team at Oldham was disgusting. They didn't deserve that.

We're keeping the faith in them, but 2 abject performances can't go without comment, it's not as if we were in close proximity at the whistle. The injury list has shortened with 2 centres returned, where we've had to fill in, Rowe of course is a big loss and if Lillycrop gets banned that lessens our explosive impact, but that's no excuse for missing tackles from those left on the field. We had hoped that focus would have returned after Oldham, now we have to hope the same in time for Saturday as I'm

sure the coaches and players won't want a sloppy show on TV.

Bradford are currently in talks with several players over new deals but Chris Ulugia, currently on a season-long loan at Batley, is set to join John Kear at Wakefield in 2017, along with former Bulls academy player Keegan Hirst.

News to me!

Keegan to Wakefield has been mooted for awhile, but the Ulugia is news. Rumour has J. Brown to Wigan, but could be just speculation (I don't have the quality of informants Mr Fisher has  )

Getting shafted then! We build a good side and our gentleman coach sets about dismantling it........then we shake on a new coach who is then quoted as 2nd favourite for a job somewhere else....will he be a gentleman? Hope KN has already rung him to find out!

You'd be shocked if you knew the person, so sorry I can't tell you lol

Keegan deserves a shot in superleague. I wouldn't call it getting shafted. If Kear only takes 2 of the current squad then I'm happy with that.

who's to say Wakefield will be in super duper league next season.

I don't begrudge any player moving to SL or earning more than Batley can play them. I've never been loyal to an employer when I've had the chance to better myself, although the short spell as Kipper smoker wasn't too good for my health :codemafia:

Exactly my thoughts as well Batley Bob.

How Wakefield are playing they will be still in SL.

Agreed about Keegan Hirst and happy for him if he does go, been massive for us this last couple of years.

Cheers Roger.

Maybe I am being over sensitive, but this whole thing sits a little uncomfortably with me.

What if next week Rowe and Brown are announced?

Then Scott, what then?

Would everyone still be happy?

I don't blame anybody for wanting to better themselves, but allowing somebody to tap up all our best players, from the inside, is a bit much for me.

Nothing has been announced though, it is all just rumour, and you can't stop those.

I was rather hoping Diskin would bring at least a couple of young lads from Bradford

If keegan does step up fair play you cant hold back athlete's in a short career. Does it need speculation or official statements now Though? There's plenty of rugby to play yet.

Seriously people John kear isn't in charge it's Chris Chester so don't read much into these rumours. Chris is a good player but super league quality not sure. Keegan might have a good job why risk full time to only find out like he did at fev it's not for him. Let's just see what's announced and let's enjoy the rest of the season
