I Love The RFL

The RFL needs a clear out at the top. Unfortunately there are a few clubs (1 in particular) who gain a lot from the current bunch. Things won't change until some people at club level either let it happen or leave the game.

Who would that be?

Thank you for your valuable contribution.

De registering Dobson?

They could have asked Hull KR for advice on that score, they temporarily de registered him to make way for registering Willie Mason, stroke of genius that was.

Our supreme governing body forgot to de register Dobson from our over seas quota 2 years ago! They couldn't organise a BBQ at a crematorium.

I'm sure it was an oversight and easily rectified. Obviously Salford didn't need the extra quota place in the meantime. They've probably just found out while registering their latest NRL sighing - which I assume has not been blocked and the oversight rectified

I saw something on Twitter from Koucash demanding action on this mistake - he still doesn't get that there's a difference between cheating and making a mistake

Salford should know the status of their own players. The only time this becomes an issue is if Salford want to sign another overseas player and the RFL said no.

Koukash should stop moaning about the little things and deal with the big items.

Tim Sheens said on Radio Manchester that last year they enquired whether Dobson could be removed from the quota since he's  been here for many years as we wanted to sign another over seas player. However  the RFL said he couldn't which they later changed as we equired again citing an 'aministration error'.

If that is the case, then it is pretty bad and will only fuel MK's paranoia that the RFL are doing everything then can to stop him succeeding.

I find this comment ridiculous, to say the least. This entire sordid little affair is a mess of Salford's own douing and Marwan is like the classroom bully who's had his come uppance, just looking for any sort of revenge. Salford knew what the rules were and went on to break them. They cheated and this was purely and simply an oversight. If Marwan had played to the rules Salford wouldn't be in the mess they are in now. Don't forget that Marwan said he was going to break the rules and then promptly did so.

They're two complete different issues so I'm really not sure why you're confusing the both of them together. Sheens said it was the RFL who made the error not us.

Seems a strange one.

Surely if Salford knew that Dobson should be off the quota they would put in the request and if they got a no answer they would have challenged that as they have known that the answer was wrong if it was a clear cut case?

Yep it's as much Salfords issue to know the status of their own players. It's obviously not been much of an issue for them as the apparent error happened two years ago

I think Marc Green sent Salford an email grassing the RFL up.
