  1. Thats the way I see it. The Hull job is high risk high reward. He could fail miserably like so many before him, but if he finally becomes the man who gets it right at Hull he can achieve things that simply aren't going to be possible at Salford. I think if you are ambitious and have confidence in your own ability then it's still an attractive job, especially if there are assurances about investment coming in and he is being promised a good playing budget. I'd be very happy with the appointment if it happens.
  2. I think the difference against Saints was that it was a very, very young and inexperienced team. We knew there was no chance of a result, we just wanted them to go and give it their best and for the most part they did. Previously its been senior players letting us down when they really should do better. From the 17 against Saints we had, Moy, Martin, Litten, Charles, Balmforth, Gardiner, Jebson and Laidlaw who are all 21 or younger. Out of that lot only Litten has played more than 10 first team games I believe. There are some talented kids amongst that lot, but we all understand that they are not ready yet and have been thrown into this situation because we don't really have any other option. Its a baptism of fire for them, but if they have the right attitude then they will be a lot better for the experience they are getting this year.
  3. I get the feeling that Salford could go down to 10 men and London still couldn't score twice.
  4. That makes it very interesting. Are London good enough to go and take advantage?
  5. Depends how much his partners dad is going to give him to spend I suppose.
  6. It was, but I've deleted it now we've brought Richie Myler on board, the only way is up now
  7. Wigan were always going to win and win comfortably, but for Cas to not even be a able to muster 5 minutes of resistance to start a cup game is awful. And that's coming from a Hull fan!
  8. 0-20, 18 minutes gone. I think that's where my listening ends.
  9. 10-0 Wigan inside 10 minutes. It's going to be an absolute pummelling.
  10. Oh well, nothing to see here. Just jam tomorrow. It's the hope that kills you.
  11. The club have now officially announced that Hoy and Brown have left the club. Gives us a few quota spots and an awful lot of cap space if an injection of cash is indeed imminent.
  12. I saw someone saying that Nu Brown had requested a meeting with James Clark a couple of days ago and handed in his resignation claiming that the coaching was a shambles. No direction, no gameplan, not listening to players etc. The fallout of this meeting being that Smith got the chop. Totally unsubstantiated of course but it would tie in with the reports that Brown has also left the club. I tend to think that the timings are too much of a coincidence, and whoever is buying/investing in the club had made it a condition of his investment that he wanted the decks cleared to bring in new players/coach.
