  1. That's my exact notion kidda. Looking at the wakey line up plus wise old fox Powell it's gonna be a bridge too far
  2. Back on subject I've never seen wakey trinity play at the mount. Avoided them in challenge cup since 1989 (my attendance started via bovril and boiled sweets) and obviously held on to their top flight status since 96 by the skin of their teeth. Do I vaguely remember a pre season friendly with them
  3. Piggy parkinson must get a mention surely. Well it was mound of sharp sand so probs gets a dispensation
  4. Heard he was mucking in on Taylor Street as some idiot rode his horse up and down pitch. Craig's lad plays for batley boys
  5. I would of thought let's see what works first Phil. Some lads relish a challenge where as if they've been in set position with a limited style since u8's may struggle to complete a coach request
  6. Ash was originally a winger so not short of pace. His pure bulldog saw him move into forwards. One of the only lads not dominated in the saints away game midweek around 2007 what a machine
  7. Jason mossop still plying his trade seems an eternity ago since he played for batley. Will sammutt strutt across white Lee to hook up with worky at ours or meet his team mates for some snap on the motorway
  8. Did a stint with Hunslet. Prefers playing with his mates I reckon
  9. 1.klf 2.prodigy. 3. Orbital. 4. A8 5. K KLASS. 6. SL2. 7. Utah saints. 8. Moby 9. Chemical brothers. 10. Leftfield
  10. The days of 3k minimum. Proper bash up with genuine heavy woolen lads with rivalries and scores to settle. Families from both sides of the trenches wanted bragging rights! Anxiously watching weather forecasts to allow fixture going ahead. Family, church, festivities completed boxing day allowed fresh undies adorned, board games and a manic lounge of spoilt kids side stepped and pungent scent gifted lathered on! Memories. Oh I wish I was bobbing up to the taverners for a fizzy pop after a family visit to carlinghow wmc. Boxing day 1988. First experience of live sport peering over 9 hole rusty iron railings down perilous concrete 3x4 flagging!
  11. If there was one old gallant youth I'd love a selfie with it would be tommo! Aged very well must of been the brisbane air. 2 great stints with us. One winter rugby where he drew attention of Northern widnes Hull sharks and trinity. 2nd summer linking up with Lawford on faster turf. Wonder if his father in law Phil ever had to pay in or buy a pint, he was very proud his daughter snagged a batley legend! 3rd Sunday of advent st. Marys Mass bit of shopping then unrecognisable cheeky oz grin. Asked him were the mullet went- his lad has carried the trend bless
  12. Bounce bolu. Not side step but bounce. Gave awesome centre style passes to Wing. Except bolu played wing
