  1. I'm excited to have 3 hopefully quality players and competition is good, my only concern is that if two are forwards on current form who can you leave out? Liam is getting better every week, Tyler couldn't even get a game and Grant and JJ were superb at Hunslet.
  2. I think the idea was always to go for promotion but when you've got two big spending clubs hogging the promotion spots what do you do? If you've got investors and new sponsors on top of a solid financial base then why wouldn't you? We were unlucky to meet Oldham and Keighley in an injury crisis but there's a long way to go yet. Put the pressure on and see if they crack.
  3. What extra player would you like out of interest? Be sensible..go on you can do it this once!
  4. Just got back and that was a good win. Our forwards haven't always dominated thus year but it looked like the plan was to take them on in a forward battle, especially after Brad went off early on. Looks like we'll need a winger for next week. Chris played most of the game with a dead leg. Few players got into the first half because Scholey n Tomposh were destroying them up the middle. Reid had his best game in a Town shirt and the Budsey break was class. Nice to watch a game that wasn't ruined by the ref. Who was it?
  5. No Stephenson but looks like the only change. Sorry he is there. Reid for Walton.
  6. No excuses through injuries and if I was betting I'd go for a Town win . These are the games we need to win if we're going to be putting any sort of pressure on Keighley and Oldham.
  7. We're not anything special but our style of play is better than I've seen in years and hopefully two overseas players arriving in a few weeks time,I'd have to be hopeful of a top 4 finish. I wouldn't have said that for 60 minutes of last week's game though !
  8. Can you give his side of the story?
  9. So of all the things to stir you it's a flag. No i'm not involved in the club you got me there but i've got eyes and i can see a bloke who is working hard to push this club forward. The last chairman however good he was was invisible , and i don't know Graeme either but maybe he's put his hand high in the air and admitted he doesn't know everything but he's prepared to learn and guess what he's got a rugby man in Garry Murdock at his shoulder. As you say somebody should step up but they haven't have they so we should give the bloke a bit of credit because it can't be an easy job. You say he's put no money in but how much money has he brought in from other sources? You're in the know so it'll be interesting to hear your views, i'm always open to hearing people's views doesn't mean i have to agree with them.
  10. I think you're on your own there , most folk can see what a good job he's doing. If you read his post earlier he had tried to reason with the lad with the flag but he wasn't playing ball . It's really hard to put out a good product in this area while balancing the books but everybody at the club are striving to make it happen .
  11. Agreed. Not the one spared prison ? Another one? I can't keep up with all their imports , I'm sure there's fewer come across the channel in dinghies than through the gates at the Recre !
  12. Shame they couldn't come to some sort of resolution. If the sponsor was adamant he didn't want the board moved and the lad wouldnt budge on moving the flag there's not a lot you can do. I hope it's not a question of losing a sponsor for a couple of hundred quid because we all know how much we spend per season to go to home games nevermind what we spend going away.
