Good luck on Saturday

The lads fully deserve their opportunity to face a top Super League side tomorrow, having stunned the rugby league world with their win against Hull K.R. and have rightly had all the accolades for doing so. In fact the latest accolade is perhaps the greatest - the respect being given to Oldham by Tony Smith, in the way he has named such a strong side and the manner in which he has prepared that side for the game.

Tomorrow should be a great day for everyone at the club but there shouldn't be excessive pressure on the lads - I hope they just go out there, play their own game and enjoy the experience. The fans know they will do their best whatever the outcome, having shaken quite a few along the way. Good luck to them all.

Come on THE 'YEDS!!

Just watched the tries we scored against Hull Kr and everyone was well executed without any luck involved what so ever I really hope for the same commitment from the boys and not let Warrington get into their stride and make the powers that be sit up and give Championship teams like Oldham the funding they need to compete even better against the Super League outfits onwards and upwards Yeds

Just a random thought - how good must it be for the players to have a coach of the stature of Scott Naylor.

They obviously know what he's like as a coach but as a player himself - been there - done that.

Not exactly " my dad's bigger than your dad " but we're his boys and we're up for it.

To all fellow posters on here - have a fabulous day at Fortress Fold - enjoy whatever the result

Better go and have a lie down now !

Bang on Suzzy.

I previously mentioned that the tries at Hull KR were from very cunning and clever rugby.

Trying to be the proverbial blunt instrument against a side like Warrington will be a thankless (and painful) task. They have strength to spare.

A repeat of the last rounds style and flair might just cause one of the biggest upsets ever - if you can't get near the man, you can't tackle him.

Going along and taking a couple more this time so it will be me, the two grandchildren, my niece and her husband.  Looking for the boys to give their all as usual and hoping we score a couple of tries to give us all something to cheer about.

John in OZ - Love the phrase "Fortress Fold" which has a real good ring to it.

I know i keep saying it but I just wish we had the same money from central funds that others have. All well and good if you have outside backers but each team should start with the same brass! And back to the post! Can't wait for tomorrow. I'm sure the lads will do us proud.

I think luck may well play a part in it.  We've nothing to lose and if we're still in the game at half-time, who knows.

To be able to say you where there at one of those I was there moments in life, you have to be there.   Let's hope we can produce a generation of Oldham fans that can bore others to death with tales of Palfrey, Owen and Ward (other players are available).
