wayne_r
Not a good day today. We dominated possession for 20min at the start of each half but didn't convert the possession into enough points. London were workman like - big powerful pack that out muscled us up front. Sorry to say it but another poor show by a referee, disallowed the try in the 2nd half and I think he was the only one that saw the obstruction, had we scored then at 24 - 16 down it may have been a different outcome. Duffy was sat a few rows behind where I was sat and he was fuming during the 2nd half at the poor options taken by the team when attacking. I noticed that today Atkins seemed to operate only on the left side and White on the right.........I am London clocked that also. I also have to say Beharrell at hooker doesn't do it for me the team seemed to function better with Vila Halafihi at hooker. Oh well at least Oldham and Sheffield lost. Roadhouse blue
My view and a theme from last week and before. 1 we concede too easy and don't work hard enough to slow teams down. 2 No competition in the backs for places. Tries leaked and backs need a shake up. Don't attack the line and 1 dimensional . 3 start with your best 13. Poor till Brajek and Lever and the lad from Bradford came on and worked hard. My picks today were Forwards Hand and Lever and Atkin in backs . The rest need an ear bend
wayne_r
As I said Duffy was not at all happy yesterday at one point in the second half we had a scrum maybe 20 metres out near the posts and did nothing with the ball - well Duffy was livid because he knew it was a good position and we should have done better, in fact Duffy left the stand at high speed towards the dugout. As a spectator and its too easy to comment but I do think we need someone on the field to push the team on and also change tactics if they are not working.
