Doncaster Rugby League entertain Barrow Raiders in our first game of the Kingstone Press League 1 Super 8s.

The Dons welcome Paul Crarey’s men to the Keepmoat Stadium on Sunday (3pm), making a return to the main pitch following renovations over the summer.

The first round of the Super 8s got underway last weekend, however the Dons were dealt a blow when our game with York City Knights was postponed.

Due to the postponement, Gary Thornton’s side haven’t played a competitive game for three weeks, which was a 21-8 defeat to Rochdale Hornets.

Kyle Kesik, Tom Carr and Brad Foster who all missed the defeat in Lancashire could all return against Barrow this weekend.

Due to the Dons fixture postponement last weekend, Iaafeta Paleaaesina has been granted permission to play by the RFL and could an all important eighth appearance, which would allow the prop forward to play for both Hull FC and Doncaster in the Super 8s.

One man who will be missing for the Dons is Jordie Hedges, who received a three match ban for an incident at Spotland.

Barrow got off to a fine start in the series, with an impressive 34-12 victory over Rochdale at Craven Park.

That win ensured Barrow leapfrogged both ourselves and York into third place in the Super 8s.

They come into the match on the back of four wins on the spin, their last defeat came at the hands of London Skolars back in June.

Last time the two teams met back in April, the Dons recorded a memorable victory at the Keepmoat Stadium.

Despite Connor Scott being sent off early in the match, 12 man Doncaster recorded a 21-18 victory thanks to a try from Mark Castle, a Jason Tali brace and the boot of Tom Carr.

Supporters are reminded you can secure a Super 8s season ticket and get four games for the price of three!  For more details CLICK HERE.
