  1. It’s also the type of game that Warrington would have lost over the previous 2 seasons
  2. I know the referees societies will be working hard to share that information via training sessions etc but at an amateur level you are dependant upon referees attending meetings especially those who are more set in their ways
  3. No they would also get the correction wrong
  4. Maybe although an injury impacts the length of ban not whether there is a charge. I can honestly say I would have red carded this weeks incident hence why I am surprised at no charge. Now if only some journalist would ask some pertinent questions
  5. There are 4 options. Accidental. Careless. Reckless. Play on. As I posted I think this week’s was a red card. The MRP clearly thought it was accidental for whatever reason. Either way it was a long way from last week’s incident imo
  6. Good question. This is a very different incident though. The twisting seems ok until the third man joined the tackle. Whether they have decided it was just a complete accident I don’t know. Last week’s was reckless and very poor technique The sending off imo seemed correct when I watched the highlights but the MRP must have decided that it’s also down to the other 2 players involved
  7. Yes and he clearly did call held in this instance based on the highlights on the BBC website
  8. This weeks minutes https://www.rugby-league.com/uploads/docs/MATCH REVIEW PANEL MINUTES 22 APR 2024.pdf In an interesting & welcome change the explanation for the red card no ban is included this week
  9. Lucky enough to speak to him a couple of times when he started coaching and he was a lovely bloke who clearly enjoyed his RL
  10. I thought it was only RL that prevented clubs from being promoted due to off field criteria. Silly me
  11. The abuse was bad enough when I refereed and touch judged but it is significantly worse now especially the higher up the pyramid you go. Some of the current top referees have received death threats in the last couple of seasons. Would you encourage your son/ daughter to pick up the whistle against that backdrop?
  12. It’s not the same tackle as it occurred before the PTB. The protocol on how far back you can go has been the same for a long time and any review, if it had met a revised protocol, would have been reliant on a potential knock on being identified which it seems nobody on the field and most watching at home or at the ground noticed at the time
  13. Ryan Hall leaving KR at the end of the season and signing for Leeds
  14. Well nigh on impossible for the referee to spot that. You are relying on your TJ to be lucky enough to see it. Leigh still had plenty of opportunities to stop the try though
  15. Hardaker bombs a chance and Dwyer does a Dwyer thing on the last tackle
