  1. Lower-tier RL nations play more often than the tier 1 RL teams do. They have far more activity and are more enthusiastic about it than the Tier 1 teams.
  2. As with Perpignan the location is a a significant attraction, though engaging the local(ish) community would gain a greater benefit. The other thing to take into account is there are plenty of ex-pat "noisy northerners" in and around London but most do not not turn up unless their team are playing London Broncos, why they do not turn up for other matches is for them to answer. There had been talk of needing to attract the NZ/Aus ex-pat/traveller community that also drew little benefit. There was a lot of hope when Junior RL in London grew at its fastest rate with free tickets available to parents of junior players. They even had periods of giving away tickets in one of the main London newspapers. You can debate how successful or not those tactics have been but there is no convincing case for them. Good engagement with the existing fanbase and local communities has been suboptimal, you could also argue the same for the matchday experience. Though crucially the club moving around so many times is one of the other big factors, though when they initially move they get a boost but have often not managed to build on it.
  3. You cannot patent a name especially a generic one. You might be able to argue for it being a trademark but even that is debatable.
  4. There has been a lot of extreme violence in PNG matches over the years yet I do not recall the British media showing much interest in it. There are still regular articles in the media regarding violence and tragedy that occurred decades ago. If this happened in the UK it would be treated very differently. The media considered alleged corruption in the World Cup bids at FIFA to be far more newsworthy (until officials in the English bid were implicated).
  5. His try to game ratio was much high at Newcastle and Leeds
  6. Georgia Satellites "BBC In Concert : Live at Reading" - Intense bar band that got lucky Frank Zappa "Waka/Jaka" - highly underrated album Culture "Two Sevens Clash" Blue Murder "No One Stands alone" - worth it just for the title track, not to be confused with the poddle permed rockers of the same name Buddy Guy w. Jeff Beck "Ohne Filter" - live at Ronnie Scottt's I think from 1986
  7. When I got my copy first thing I thought about was 'Gris-Gris' and 'Babylon' and soundwise it seems to be an attempt to go back to that vibe. Agree with you about the mixing but also the production also his chops on the piano get rather little prominence. The 'Kingdom of Izness' is my favourite Dr. John song title for quite a few years.
