  1. Robin was voted French Junior Champion RL player in 2019 while playing at Avignon. He is 6'4" tall and weights 110kg. The footage I've seen of him, his socks round his ankles, in contact reminds me a bit of........PP.
  2. You can find him, Si but I think he has come over under his own steam, and, to my knowledge is on a two week trial, not signed as such. He's French, not an imported Aussie. Avignon Bisons signed him from an Elite 2 side. Think I read he was 24?
  3. Yep, Saturday 18th 11.15ko at Donny.
  4. Where did we get Joel Edwards from? French Elite League. He came after his season there had ended. It is a goldmine for not only decent Aussies, decent Kiwis and some good French players if they come for the right reasons and settle. of course. Don't think Clint and Hendo aren't looking, they are. A change is gonna come....
  5. Our big 'on trial' prop looks like a unit. In from Avignon and, previously, Estraigues in French Elite 2. Couple of half back prospects galloping towards the horizon as we speak, I understand. Also understand that the nature of Richie Myler's injury and subsequent 'op' means that he would have been out for the season so possibly the move suits both parties?
  6. All depends on what the original 'terms of engagement' were...
  7. Oh, and one further thought if you can bear one. Not a 40-20/20-40 all day with that wind. Betrays a lack of confidence in the boot....
  8. It wasn't an easy watch in all honesty. I said at half time that we were watching too ordinary sides that had plenty of effort and endeavor but little flair and sparkle. Even two sides who looked frightened to lose. The game cried out for a Sammut, a Chisholm, a Broughy, some off-the-cuff rugby. Thought Oli Field was our best player. The rejig immediately after the two injuries cost us two tries and, IMO, if Jubbys on the field, their equalising try from Cresswell doesn't happen. The drop goal was simply toss of the coin. If we had played that way in the second half, wind at our backs, we would have been celebrating a one point win. No kicker would have kicked a conversion from out wide in those conditions against the wind... Funniest thing all day was the seagull who flew between the posts twice as Liam was setting his kick up to show him where it needed to go... By the way, thought our kicking game second half into the wind was mainly wrong options, why keep it low under the wind when, up high, the ball will drift back to your chasers and away from the opposing full back. I too thought we might be 3-0, not 0-3 but that's the Championship for you. And while I'm at it, you big pack proponents, Swinton beat Toulouse and their forward is smaller than ours....??
  9. I dont think it's at Wakey next week, bud??
  10. Full match coverage on BBC Radio York, who, ABW, will be making the six hour round trip, from 2pm, all frequencies and online. Got to pop up and see Wing Commander Cedric and the Craven Park Seagull Squadron. Watch yer chips!
  11. It's the hope that kills yer - been hoping since Woodsie's team beat Toulouse at Minimes.
  12. Rich Whiting replaced Callum Windley.
  13. I assume this is because we wont have the services of Charlie Severs now due to the mayhem at Hull FC.

    Ow'dam

Still think you'll come out top though. Would have been a better contest with Koppy, ET and Pat Moran playing.
