WELCOME
.
This round kicks off on Friday 31st July.
There's a full set of eight games to tip this coming weekend. We'll have 8 games a week now from here until Round 26
Everyone reading this is welcome to enter this weekly competition which runs throughout the season.
New  or occasional entrants are welcome to join us.
Whether you've taken part before or you fancy having a go this week for the first time you're guaranteed a warm welcome.
Entries are allowed each week up until the kick off of the first game in the round

ROUND 21 QUESTIONS:
*Poll Competition:
Our regular poll comp looks at a different aspect each week.
Which game will produce the highest number of tries scored?
- that's the number of tries scored by both teams added together
- enter in the poll itself at the top and put your answer in your posting.

Now the main event of the week:

*Match tipping Competition:
Name the 8 (that's EIGHT) winning teams in NRL Round 21

*Points Competition
How many points will be scored by all the teams added together in R21?
This is a competition in itself and will act as a tie breaker for the match tipping comp if necessary. This is used as the decider when necessary so do give it a go.

*Home Win Competition:
How many HOME wins will there be in NRL R21?
In rounds where the game is on the road and played at a neutral venue, the team named first in the fixture will be regarded as the home team for the purposes of this competition.

Fixtures:

Animated awards will be given for the winner(s) of each competition question.
Match tipping scores are being added together as the season is progressing to produce a Tipsters' Ladder which is pinned to the top of the forum topic list page

The best of luck to everyone this week.
Enjoy your Rugby League!  B)

Ah, Irish Saint, going for Sea Eagles with a flourish. You see that game as a big points scoring festival with Manly at home coming out on top against the table topping Broncos?

Sea Eagles showing recent good form...

Or did the coin toss come up heads?

Notice everyone's going for Warriors.

They don't usually win without SJ

They have other problems too, the team being shuffled about: Bodene Thompson for example is out. OK Vatuvei is back.

Sharks are becoming increasingly difficult to beat and come off a win over Bulldogs at Belmore and before that beat the perky Raiders, both very close calls.

Sharks are without Andrew Fifita so Chris Heighington starts at prop. Anthony Tupou returns an Tinirau Arona is on the bench

They do have Gallen out there too!

Sharks have had 5 wins out of the last six encounters with Warriors (OK Sharks lost at home to Warriors in R9 earlier this season).

So what might be seen as a logical Sharks win is being sidelined not just here but generally - as for example in the betting/odds.

Which will have the most effect, Warriors without SJ or Sharks without A Fifita?

As you can probably tell I'm building up to to going with Sharks ... or will I chicken out?

Good analysis BUT .......did you know that, without Fifita, Sharks only win 20%

I won't be surprised by a Sharks win but I have an anti-Warriors bias which affects my tipping. I'm deliberately trying to overcome this. So I tipped the NZers. I also have a bizarre theory that SJs' absence will make more of the Warriors players step up. I also think Lolohea will have a lot more involvements than SJ. SJ waits until they are 10m out then scores a magic try, which looks good on a highlights reel but I expect Lolohea to try harder to provide for other backs and not wait until they are in great position.

BUT ........ I am running LAST, so what would I know?

Looks to be on a knife edge decision when comparing the potential strengths and weaknesses of those two line ups.

Maybe I'll do what others have done and plump for Warriors at home when all else looks equal.

Maybe I'll use the method Irish Saint mentions.

... or maybe I've known what I'm going to do all along!

There, the most telegraphed choice by anyone so far in this week's comp - yes, I've bucked the trend and gone for Sharks

Good luck to everyone, even Barney!
