BISSA 120yr Painting

As some of you know , BISSA  have been working ,along with an anonymous supporter, who has sponsored a commemorative painting celebrating 120 yrs of Rugby at our ground.

The painting is now underway, and we have been compiling, along with others ,a list of 22 players who will be remembered around the edge of the painting.

This has been quite a task, but very enjoyable. We would like to ask forum members to help us make sure someone hasn't been missed. 

To arrive at the 22 we had to set certain levels of requirements, as I'm sure you will understand, as we couldn't just have OUR own favourite players

 

The criteria being.....( WHILST PLAYING FOR BATLEY)

1) International Honours...Gt Britain, British Isles, Toured etc

2) Other Honours.....The Home Countries.

3) World records.

4) Club records. could be games, scoring, etc.

 

The information must be factual, and recorded. 

 

There are some players that hold  several of the above. 

 

Time is of the essence so ,as we are putting this together now, along with as many of the images of the final 22 we can obtain, help with this would also be appreciated, as there are just a small few (pictures) that are proving elusive.

 

May I personally ask that this is kept on topic, as it is an important piece of work, thank you .

Hi Colin. It may be helpful to publish a list of the players you've come up with so far, I guess then that if further names are proposed, you/we could use the above criteria to decide who makes the final 22. Cheers.

Frank Gallagher and Wattie Davies Defs. Ike Fowler as captain of our only championship winning side. Norman Field GB international. Gibson of course, maybe Grayshon as oldest RL pro. If poss captain of first challenge cup winning side.
