Padge
Nope, although it would probably be just as useful. Forecasting serves a purpose - budgets, as others have said - but at the end of the day to attempt a forecast for a four year spell which includes an event we haven't experienced before seems pointless, and there was actually no need to publicise one or even undertake one as it's utterly worthless even for budget setting. But you have agreed with the Brexiteers that the forecast is that we will be better off. Now you either believed that or you lied about believing it, you can't have it both ways. On what basis did you advocate leaving the EU, a forecast that it would improve the economy, a forecast that it would stop Johnny foreigner taking your job, a forecast that world peace would ensue, what did you base your decision on, the weather, tea leaves, the gobblins at the bottom of your garden. I think we should be told. Something wrong there. “Few thought him even a starter. There were many who thought themselves smarter. But he ended PM, CH and OM. An Earl and a Knight of the Garter.” Clement Attlee. We could well gain £350m a week, once we are actually out of the EU. At the rate the remainers are filing those lawsuits, however, it will cost us £250m a week before we've even triggered Article 50.
