  1. These Giants are only men, NOT GIANTS! Man on man is where it matters. We matched Fev, we weren't overrun by Cas, why will, if all 3 play, they help Rams overrun us? Players rarely walk in to a new team, know the systems and blow opponents off the field. We're as tight and spirited again, players who have had to come in (Gibbons for Woods eg) are putting their stamp on games and those getting picked regularly are being picked regularly because of others in the squad forcing them to play well enough to get picked. This is ours 12+ points.
  2. Current totals after Featherstone league game. Woods. 7pts Flynn. 7pts Walshaw. 6pts White. 5pts Burton J. 3pts Manning. 2pts Butterworth 2pts Morton. 2pts Moore. 2pts Gledhill. 1pt.
  3. Any attendance figures/estimates?
  4. Away ftom the website (we've exhausted complaining about it, it resurrects beginning of each pre-season then blows up and leaves enthusiastic people like Mark Atack, a GIANTS FAN, to keep the club in view), from twitter feeds it seems that we again failed to deal with a high kick and gave 6 points away then conceded last tackle before the break..traits week on week, 10 points, pfht, gone. Did I expect an upset, I'm not too sure I did, did I get excited at 8-0 and 14-10, not sure I did then either but last week and this the term has been 'valiant' when last week the term should have been 'victors', this week could gave been 'Tigers sneak through' but I think we've let ourselves down a bit in both games. 1 league game loss might not matter in the scheme of things but regular errors will.
  5. So, we still haven't heard officially from the club! That's what galls people the most, not just me. It can be like the Secret Service at times. MOSSAD can't hold a candle to us....
  6. Well I was there at the bar when Kev did the team rundown then took a teamsheet ftom his hand and I didn't hear anything about the draw, nor have I seen a fb post about it nor is it anywhere on club publicity. I would rather it have been left until Easter and the winner have the opportunity to win the expected and promised prize, why did it need to be rushed?
  7. Was it drawn on Sunday? Didn't I hear that it was being drawn around 2.30 but heard nothing before I left Ron's Lounge at 20 to 3.
  8. A guy you wouldn't look at twice off the field was the biggest amongst giants on it yesterday; Nyle Flynn was absolutely enormous, end of. Ben White, created most of the breaks Can't separate Walshaw and Woods for 3rd.
  9. Threw it, couldn't deal with a rolling ball with no pressure, couldn't take the 2nd half kick-off, 3 and bit minutes to go on attack, scrum, first pass from it forward, less than a minute to go poor choice in collecting high ball, entire 2nd half let the opposition play globetrotters and march forward on us, a number of barge tackles put in with no effort to wrap. Great 20 minutes, ineffective last hour, disturbing change round. Ill-discipline again with umpteen 6 agains, an afternoon which won't have pleased the coaching staff. We don't want to be saying 'hard lines, we gave Fev a game', we need to be saying 'what the h*ll just happened there?'. It was ours to lose and there was a massive conspiracy of events which made it so. Feel gutted for the smallest forward on the field who played like a giant, massive weapon for Flynny, stood in front of Springer, Albert and said 'come on then' and after once they didn't.
  10. MoM. White 10 points. Moore 7. " Walshaw 7. " Flynn. 3. " Ward, Buchanan and Briwn 1 point. White 3 pts, Moore and Walshaw 2 pts, Flynn 1 point.1q

This might not be the tie we really needed. Doubt there'll be the massive crowd we hoped for for a start, 2000/2500 isn't going to bring us a massive financial windfall if we lose. Better to gave lost with say 3000 Leeds fans coming over. If we were to win it could be bitter sweet for Linners who would be under massive pressure and could get sacked from a job that us Batley fans said he deserved in the first place!

    V Cas at home!!
  13. RFL won't want a Championship club anywhere near the quarters, all 4 will get tough ties. Even SL clubs failing to pull up trees will be expected to beat Championship opposition anyway....
  14. Just noticed on the video that George Senior is in kit and appears to had a head wound set didn't think he was on the sheet? Anyone confirm yea or nay please?
