It is clear that the club needs to involve the community. Open the social club run darts and snooker again. Engage people make them feel like they belong. Treat people like the way you want to be treated

Then the club may get a sense of belonging and then the mindless vandalism might stop

Ive been down to manchester a few times the past month or so and noticed the seats had been moved from the yard they there in,under the sheet...

But the seats are only a third of the build...the steelwork & the concrete are the most important parts....wheres that??

All of it?? Steel beams, concrete, roof, and seats??

Thats alot of structure to "put behind the stand" and ive never noticed it..

The salford stand in question is 33m long..its a substanial bit of kit

Spud it wasn't seats, it was definitely building materials.

The liason officer has to be implemented as clearly the community around whitebank don't like the club

The new people skills would be on show and the community would be engaged and they would feel apart of Oldham rlfc

I lived not far from Whitebank and remember 20 or so years ago the bowlers pavilion at Copster Park being burned down. This wooden. Structure had no chance. My property on the main road frequently had its windows smashed. Why do people do this sort if thing. It's because they can.Go down Hollins Road and show me a shop window without shutters.Places like whitebank with flimsy temporary structures will alway be subjected to mindless wanton destruction.only solution is proper vandal proof structures none of which whitebank has or is likely to get any time soon.I would Imagine Fc united has a setup which is locked up tight.Solid walls, steel shuttered windows and even if you got in to set seats alight in amongst all the metal and concrete in a stand it would be hard work.not saying for one minute we could have a Fc united stadium but if you don't build vandal proof you waste your time.Portakabin structures are almost begging these idiots to fire them.

The concrete beams have been under tarpaulins behind the stand for months, the conjecture on the steel was that it was damaged and scrapped, don't know how true that is.Last time I drove down Featherstall Rd the seats were in the storage yard under tarpaulin, that was a couple of weeks ago so they could have been moved since, as for the roof it's anyone's guess where that is.

if we are talking about the plastic seating that was at Oldham Storage Warehouse being set on fire at Whitebank, these would not have been easy to burn without the use of an accelerant of some sort.

If that was the case surely this should be treated as a case of Arson and not Vandalism, and needs investigating as such by the police?
