Maybe, just maybe the (possibly) owing money thing isn't quite as straightforward as you seem to think it is. -

Clubs can be deducted points for a whole range of offences, many of which come under the umbrella of 'bringing the game into disrepute'. Not too hard to think back to Fev's points deduction not that many moons ago as an example. -

Which EGM? The only recent EGM I'm aware of (2018) was the Club asking A shareholders for permission to seek to change the status of the land currently in the green belt to allow development and bring in income, nothing about a change in constitution. -

Some have definitely transferred ownership on the 'open market'. Although it doesn't give total power due to the existence of the two share classes. I can't remember what the A/B director split is (should be) on the board (although 2/3 rings a bell) but there are (important) limits as to what can be done without the approval of the A shareholders, and they can only hold one share each. -

In November '22 the Club owed MC £476.5k as shown in the last published accounts - an increase from the £458k owed in November '20 (£51k was paid back in 2020-21 but he obviously loaned that and more back). MC's B shareholding has also increased from 14360 in Feb '23 to 51360 in Nov '23 to 71360 in Dec '23 (ie £570k worth). Whether that is additional investment over and above loans or conversion of some/all of his loan to shares may become clearer when the next accounts are published in November. -
Think the Club did reply but the reply was unreadable - and sent the day before the deadline so couldn't be re-submitted

B Mathiou, not Mathieu. Interesting judgement in that the judge ruled he was entitled to win bonuses when loaned out and the loaning team won....

Restructure of Championship and League 1

At least 3 Championship clubs (Fev, Batley and Dewsbury) aren't offering OAP concessions this season. -
Restructure of Championship and League 1
Les Tonks Sidestep replied to Rene_Artois's topic in The General Rugby League Forum
After this season it will be virtually impossible for any Championship club to (IMG) outscore a SL club One rumour doing the rounds is a 14 team SL including Catalans and Toulouse. But, they would receive no central funding and would also have to fund the travelling expenses of UK clubs..... -
Championship Restructure thread

Following a detailed six-month review involving all Tier Two and Three clubs alongside the RFL executive, the Betfred Championship will become a 13-team division for one season only in 2025, with League One expanding to become at least 10 teams - and applications to be invited for an 11th (for full details, see the summary below). ....... Promotion and relegation between the Championship and League One will be determined by a Super Eights style competition involving the top teams in League One, and the lowest-ranked teams in the Championship. Full details are still being worked through, but the impact will be to reduce the number of teams in the Championship in 2026 to 12. https://www.doncasterrugbyleague.co.uk/article/1665/rfl-statement-|-betfred-championship-and-league-one-restructure---2024-26 Other rumours around that SL will expand to 14 with Catalans and Toulouse being admitted but receiving no central funding and paying travel expenses for visiting teams..... -
Fev not paying staff

'Alleged' being a key word in that report particularly when the RFL don't seem to be getting involved.
