Keighley Cougars can this evening announce the departure of Jode Sheriffe to Dewsbury Rams.

Jamaican international Jode follow younger brother Jesse in leaving Cougar Park and will be re-united with former teammates Aaron Ollett and Hamish Barnes as well as former Assistant Coach Adam Mitchell at the Tetley’s Stadium.

Arriving at Cougar Park from the Featherstone Rovers in 2012, Jode went on to make 85 appearances for the club, scoring 5 tries and would have made more if not for missing 12 months of action following a serious ankle injury sustained in 2015’s 66-6 home victory over the South Wales Scorpions.

The club would like to thank Jode for his services to the club and wish him the best in his future endeavours.

The club can also announce that Josh Hunt has been released following the expiration of his contract.
