Fighting isn't acceptable behaviour, leave it to the soccer fans

Hate this, typical, lazy, stereotyping!

Why do RL fans think anyone who watches the round ball game are violent thugs?

Whenever there is trouble at RL games it's automatically dismissed as "football fans"

I have watched both games for over 25 years and i have seen more fighting at rugby than at football, but yet it's football fans that are the yobs who cause trouble?

The RFL should be investigating them selves for putting clubs/players and loyal fans through this car crash of a game. Any group of supporters worth there salt would get emotional if there club was just relegated or narrowly avoided it.

I've just watched the footage of the crowd trouble at the hullkr v Salford game on love rugby league. They need to ban the mindless minority, they have no place in sport, period. In response to meast post,I know a chief steward at a soccer club and he admits that crowd trouble is worse in soccer than in either rugby code. He's been a steward for 29 years and he says it's better than it was but it's still very prevalent. He's told me the cost for policing at a game is astronomical. And I didn't say the culprits were "soccer fans", I said leave it to the soccer fans.In any case " football" is a generic term, there are different forms of football ie-association,rugby,Aussie rules, gealic etc.

I been watching both sports for over 50 years and can honestly say I have only seen violence on two (possibly three) occasions at Rugby League. I was also a steward at my local football team and witnessed violence on a far more regular basis - almost weekly back in the seventies.

While I do not condone ANY form of this behaviour from any fans, we have to understand that emotions will run even higher with what is at stake. All sport is  now fuelled by the financial aspect first and foremost, and I think in a lot of cases social media can be damaging - it is so easy for fans to taunt each other - and not always in a friendly manner.

I hope that whoever is responsible are punished, but this is now the third such incident in recent times and the authorities just might have to start and punish the club rather than the individuals if that is what it takes.
