feels bloody daft

glad they have won their supporters are by far better than those Leigh @&£& pots. Leigh looked distinctly average today. Bradford don't have enough pace to compete with the SL teams, they looked a yard off the pace in the backs but the forwards made the difference.

I demand to have some booze, I want it here and I want it now!

Leigh fan at work's been a bit quiet the last few weeks, guess he'll be totally mute on Monday ;)

Notice that Ridyard was missing today, and one or two others. Their half-back pairing has been virtually ever present over the last two years, they don't look too hot without them both. I wonder how Fev would haved fared without injuries, viruses & suspensions to certain key players?

An interesting question. Probably just as well as all the other Championship clubs who also suffered injuries to key players.

Surely Steve you've been following the game for long enough now to know that injuries are part and parcel of RL.

Sport, amongst other things, is a dream-world offering escape from harsh reality and the disturbing prospect of change.

Ok BSJ I concede, over 55 years in fact, but I've never known anything like it over the last two seasons at Fev, especially this year with the visa problems on top of injuries and suspensions. If their luck changes for next year they'll do better than this, even if they only spend half the money, most of which has only bought players who have not been on the pitch most of the time.

the difference Leigh have spent a hell of a lot more on a huge squad compared to everyone else which they hoped was super league ready, obviously it's not.

To be fair most clubs wanted Fev to lose. If you stay at the top for long enough people will want you off your pedastal. The thing is at Leigh there has been a lot of arrogance from a few.Its swings and roundabouts in sport.I had the wrong perception of Bradford after Caisleys infamous remarks about Fev some years ago. But after travelling to Odsal when they were soundly beaten by Fev in the league their supporters were very magnanimous and actually applauded my team off the pitch.

2009.... Dez .... I didn't mind Barrow's day in the sunshine - even at the time. Some sound folk up there. We all knew how it would end... and it did in plane crash fashion.

2010.... I'm still reeling from that. So hard to take. What really pizzed me off wasn't the gloating after defeating us in smokegate, but the labelling we all took by fax fans after 'the incident'. That really hacked me off and really hasn't gone away.... tho with the likes of smithy et al at fax bridges have been built.

2012/3. Don't like Aston. Never will. But they won fair n square. No qualms. They didn't go overboard. Just got on with winning.

Then there's leigh. I know a good few leigh fans. Decent sorts.

But the behaviour of their chairman, coach and a good many of their fans has relegated them to the absolute @r se end of how other fans view them.

I expected I would be shouting for leigh to hammer northern at the beginning of the season. But having spoken with their fans after defeating us at our gaff and reading their comments after losing to us, I have mellowed considerably. Nothwithstanding caisley comments.

Whoever I speak with appear to have formed a similar opinion about leigh, much more so than any other club in recent memory that have been in the ascendency.

i wonder how many coaches we've had while Aston has been in charge at Sheffield.

I believe that Sheffield's constitution prevents anyone from having a controlling shareholding.

If he's the majority share holder at the club I suppose it gives him the decision on who does what at the club...and for how long!

it was a genuine question Robin, i don't know the answer

I think sheffield have only had the fat lad and one other (for one season?) since their reincarnation.....

Lord knows how many we've had in that period

According to wiki Gary Wilkinson was joint head coach in 2006.

In their 31 years of existence they've had 7 coaches (I can think of that many who've been in charge at Fev in the last 3 years!); 4 of them in the period 1993-97.
