Check out his match report below:

It was a sunny day on Sunday and The Dons scored their first try and quickly took the lead with a try from number 26, Liam Welham in the 3rd minute, quickly followed but a conversion from number 1, Tom Carr and ANOTHER try from Liam in the 5th minute, making the score 10-0 to The Dons!

Oxford’s number 3, Aaron Nicholson pulled 4 points back with a try in the 12th minute. Comedy moment of the match came at 21 minutes when Oxford’s Josh Nataniel lost his bright orange boot and it went flying across the pitch!! But Oxford couldn’t do enough and the first half finished at 28-10 to The Dons with trys from Kyle Kesik, Tom Carr and Makali Aizue.

Half time saw The Dons Legends on the pitch. Legend players from the 1960’s, 70’s, 80’s, 90’s and 2000’s were introduced to the crowd at half-time.

The second half started with a try from Louis Sheriff in the 44th minute and the hat trick from Liam Welham 4 minutes later. At 63 minutes there was a short break in play while Louis Sheriff received treatment after a head-to-head with the opposing team.

With the score at 42-14 a scuffle broke out with nearly all of the players involved, but the referees quickly sort it out. The second half saw trys from Jordie Hedges, Louis Sherrif and Ryan Wright for The Dons.

The game comes to an end with the score finishing with 54-14 to the Dons! At the end of the day, Number 1, Tom Carr, was awarded Man of the Match - Well deserved Tom!
