  1. 1,500ish Leigh fans. We had loads of room around us whereas last year it was chocker. I’m a little sceptical about the overall figure as the South was far from full, and the main stand looked much quieter than previously, even accounting for a few of those moving over to the East Stand. All got to be justified somewhere so I guess there might have been a few season ticket holders away on holiday etc. The shuttle buses from the Trafford Centre were busy again and are a great initiative
  2. As with my earlier post, it’s the risk on the fans part to pay the extra and end up with no home games. No refund would be part of the T&C. Always worked well at Hibs and was an unpopular decision when it ended (because the club kept getting unlucky with home draws) @TommygilfThe free junior season tickets was written in to the operational rules until the quarter finals but seems to have been quietly discontinued Personally I think the scheduling is a huge factor. There’s only a short turnaround as it is, and the league fixtures look positively regular compared to some of the mad dates and kick off times you end up with in the cup, so it’s not as if you can second guess it to keep your weekend free. In days gone by you knew you you’d probably be playing the Sunday (apart from a single Saturday game on Grandstand) so it was much easier to plan around the potential.
  3. It’s a risk on all parts really. Stick £20 on the season ticket to include cup games and don’t get drawn at home and the club are laughing, and the fans have lost out. Stick £20 on the season to include cup games and you get drawn at home three times and the club knackered but the fans have had a great deal. Been various examples of these types of things coming and going in football. Most now to push towards the automated ticket sales (some compulsory, some not) but I’m not aware of that being done in RL.
  4. Wigan, last home game of regular season in 2023
  5. Most likely non-attending season pass (urgh) holders which is exactly why they’ve created the exchange tbf. It’s built in to the Ticketmaster platform at an extra cost so only worth turning on when it’ll make some dough.
  6. I think I once made an accurate post so I’m undoubtedly considered overqualified.
  7. I watch football home and away every week and I’ve seen far more ‘actual’ trouble (ie scrapping rather than just gesturing and ‘hold me back’) at RL games than I have football. It’s an absolute myth that these things are created because of football fans on a day off.
  8. 2023 Challenge Cup Final for obvious reasons Fev 40-60 Sheffield for sheer ridiculousness Joey Johns’ debut for Warrington was a tremendous occasion to attend as a neutral
  9. I’d consider even that to be ambitious at the minute.
  10. Must admit it did sound familiar. Even the bit about Fev being Toulouse’s opponents. Which begs the question as to why it wasn’t announced months ago, but I guess we all know the answer to that one.
  11. Only if it means I start getting to get free meals in restaurants
  12. My social media reach knows no bounds. It is of course worth pointing that all I did was screenshot the post from @ATLANTISMAN who of course is more well connected in French RL than the rest of us put together!
  13. Yes absolutely or it would defeat much of the object of being a double header
