  1. What a result and what a performance (for 60 minutes). One of, if not the best game I've seen from Matty Henson. He was my man of the match purely for his leadership and decision making. Everything from getting the lads together in a huddle to settle things down after havens yellow, the run across field for Eccleston's try, his own try. Thought he was outstanding. Special mention to Ethan, Walton, Stephenson, Burns and Taylor. They all had superb games. Need to take that performance into the league now. As for our neighbours. Sorry, but the £££££ spent on your imports is a MASSIVE waste from what I've seen in the 2 games. Jonty must be fuming. Hope everyone at the club enjoys their evening after an awesome day. UTT
  2. Any reason big Grant never got on today? Was he not 100%? Or did Marwood replace him on the bench. He was announced as a sub on the tanoy? I thought haven got to grips with the game in the 2nd half once Ryan King started seeing more of the ball.
  3. Well not quite sure how we lost that. Certainly the performance didn't deserve a defeat. Haven 2 breakaway/intercepted tries and town bombed two towards the end. Even in defeat I'd imagine Muz is the happier coach. Really impressed with walton again. Hutton looks reliable, Taylor is going to turn out to be a great signing also. Scholey deserving of man of the match. As good as I've seen him for a while. I've seen enough so far against championship opposition to be fairly confident we will be a top 3 side this season
  4. Scoreline was probably not far off what I though it would be. Cant really read an awful lot into the game itself as the conditions made playing difficult to say the least. Barrow made less errors, gave away less penalties and kicked better. I really liked the look of Walton. Ran hard, and is great at taking the ball to the line before finding a pass. Correct move to utilise JJ at 13 as well. Hes got the engine. Overall, I'm content with where we are
  5. On a selfish note. I need my rugby league 'fix'. Get it on
  6. If its the 2nd rower I'd be very happy
  7. Very shrewd signing. A championship player who knows the area. Well done all at town for securing his signature.
  8. I believe McNicholas Has hurt his wrist as well. Maybe broken? Lets hope Malik is fit
  9. Really is concerning how slow its all moving.
  10. Just read Fergus Simpson has gone to play rugby union.
  11. Donny are openly going for promotion this season. In the cold light of day, to be competing with them and running them so close with a vastly inexperienced side is a positive. Defeat still stings knowing it was there for us. But we will be better off in the future from games like that
  12. Poor 2nd half from us. I got the feeling they 'old manned' us. Like we did to Bradford a few years ago. Experienced players knew how to win penalties, influence the referee and ultimately their 2nd half performance was enough. Muzzy was right to be having a go at the ref at the end. He had a shocking 2nd half.
  13. All the while asking some town players if they want to go
  14. In probably less believable new. Alex Young is off to Sydney Roosters
  15. We were all gutted to see him leave for Newcastle years ago. Can't say I've watched alot of him since. But if we get the player back he was, I'm chuffed. It does bode the question where he will play or who will miss out? We have Thomson, Scholey, Kirkup, Jj, Reid, Terril, Charlo already
