Fatty Riddell is returning to the NRL. But his slot and others should be left opern for English players.

The only imports whom Wigan should be aiming to retain are Pat Richards, Amos Roberts, and George Carmont.

The rest are rubbish. English lads deserve a chance to play in the big league.

So you don't take the idea of promoting English talent seriously Mr Futtocks?

As long as they abide by the rules, there is nothing to see here.

It would be fantastic if the clubs had no more than 3 overseas players, however that isn't going to happen for a few more years (if at all) and if clubs try and get round the rules, that is when they deserve stick, not for making the odd signing.

Agreed they should sign Michael Platt, Worrincy and Ricky Sheriffe

Now then, it's a race between Sandie....and Fairburn....and the little man is in........yeees he's in.

I, just like those Castleford supporters felt that the ball should have gone to David Plange but he put the bit betwen his teeth...and it was a try

Kevin Ward - best player I have ever seen

The real Mick Gledhill is what you see on here, a Bradford fan ........, but deep down knows that Bradford are just not good enough to challenge the likes of Leeds & St Helens.

Worrincy would not be a bad signing for Wigan. All he needs is a good coach, which he has never really had. The man has loads of athletic skill, including outstanding speed for a forward. If Wigan was to sign him I would take their interest in English talent seriously. At least Bradford could see something of value in the lad.

Wigan have a responsibility to Wigan, no one else and with tomkins x2, goulding, farrell, o loughlin, mossop, o carrol, prescott and mcillorum (just off the top of my head) they're hardly short of home grown talent in the squad.

"surely they've got to try somthing different now, maybe the little chip over the top?2

Going by that theory that's half the threads on TRL gone!

And I agree.

Are you Wendall in disguise?

By my reckoning, Wigan are very likely to get rid of Bailey, Phelps, Piggy and Feca of the overseas players, and possibly Carmont as well, with Tommy, Amos and Richards the only certain overseas stayers. World Cup winner Tommy seems to be considered a good player by better judges than ParisS. As Hoffman is a second rower I would be surprised if we signed him, unless we see Mossop as a prop already (and with Hock to come back). Not sure where Quinn plays, but if he is a back, fair enough as we need 3/4 cover, even when we promote Charnley and Marsh.

Shouldn't you be more concerned about getting the odd French player in the Catalans squad?

Wigan have as many, if not more, local players in the first team than any other SL club.

I think it must be about time for your milk and medicine.

Nuuuuurrrssse!!!!

Wendall is another sentient, vibrant, human being who can speak for himself.

Quinn is a winger. So Wigan want three specialist wingers among their imports.... Richards, Roberts, and Quinn!

This is truly ridiculous. No wonder England can't find a decent three quarter line to compete with Australia.

Fancy addressing my question about French players?

Or is it totally appropriate to have a pioneer team chock full of Aussie pensioners?

The pioneer club Les Catalans Dragons will be cutting back to 6 imports in 2011. That may well be less imports than Wigan have. Note that I am not even counting the New Zealand international Handsome Harrison Hansen.

And when my Mum grows a d!ck, she will be my dad.

Just for the record, Wigan will cut back to zero imports in 2011.

Now then, what do you say to that?
