  1. I do find they vary wildly tbf Hunslet is a great view from the upper tier Crusaders you barely even notice the track I don’t recall Skolars being that bad, fairly sure the long jump was on the far side from the main stand which is obviously a huge factor Don Valley is the only ground where I gave up attending because you saw so little of the game (Odsal isn’t far off tbh)
  2. Certainly compares favourably to the 3,827 at Salford City v Stockport tonight. Absolute lunacy for them both to be at home at the same time btw. And on neighbouring Sky channels, too!
  3. It was always announced at the game (a good signal that the clock had hit 75 minutes) but was just a bit slow at updating the website sometimes.
  4. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again WHO HAS THE TIME TO WATCH FULL MATCH REPLAYS OF SEVERAL MATCHES THAT HAVE ALREADY TAKEN PLACE?! I do have a grudging admiration for those who have the discipline to be watching a game and actively avoid other scores from the same division, but that isn’t for me. My much bigger bugbear is that nobody at Sky is condensing the non-feature game in to 15 minute highlights. I know this is available on iPlayer at some point, but we’ve already established in the other thread that press extra buttons other than the channel number is just a faff.
  5. I stand corrected, good knowledge (although it does mean the figures in the public domain are pretty much useless!)
  6. All done on tickets sold from what I can gather from a couple of sources
  7. Wasn’t that supposed to be against Batley? I only know because I was on the M62 when it got pulled and ended up going to Crusaders v Catalans instead!
  8. The theory is that the team socks are too tight around the ankles to the extent that they restrict blood flow to the feet which is why it’s particularly prevalent in football. Don’t buy it personally but it’s certainly happened in RL for at least 4/5 years which was when I first remember seeing it.
  9. What’s with the (lack of a) crowd at Fev?! Thought they’d be crammed to the rafters for that one.
  10. Part of the food village being turned over to a Ticket Plus kind of offering with private loos and the like would be an easy win, I expect.
  11. I’m now completely buying in to spotting the New Era RLWC2021 hats wherever possible. England and Wales versions both spotted at Barnsley v Bolton tonight!
  12. You’d imagine as a bare minimum that they’d be looking at reducing the visitors allocation (bar Hull) if at all possible or maybe even moving them to the Well.
  13. It’s almost as if this a question that has existed for as long as the game itself and yet people think the RFL made it up on the hop just to annoy folk. And the clamour for numbered lines is one I will never understand. If you’re a seasoned fan, chances are you’ll have delivered the sense where you can just tell automatically whereabouts on the field you are. If you’re at the ground, or even more so watching on TV, then surely you’d prefer the line being marked differently in your eye line (broken lines, red line etc) rather than having to look across to the touchline. And yet that’s a stick that certain posters have been using recently towards clubs and the RFL. How about the NRL try and look outside of their own bubble and think “hang on, they might have an idea here” rather than the current vogue of SL = bad, NRL = good. Let’s be honest, the Aussies only do it differently to us just to be awkward. Time to question why we still let them be a country, really.
  14. Dragging up an old post but I saw the England, Scotland AND Ireland versions the other week, all at the same Bolton game! Amazing how well they sold without the official branding.
  15. Leigh, first game in Jan 1992 Could see the Hilton Park floodlights out of my bedroom window so it was never going to be any other way. A godparent took me and my brother to Wigan a couple of times, but he knew he’d lost when we were cheering on the Aussies against Wigan at Central Park in the ‘94 Ashes tour
