  1. Great point. We are mostly loving what DP is doing for us at Cas but anyone at Hull needs to look at the length & depth of the apprenticeship he served (and some of the pain) before they make an appointment. Good luck wifh it.....
  2. Agree. Makes you want to be a sports journalist so you can craft such great pieces....
  3. I've been expecting him to be linked with Cas at some point. Powell is probably the best judge of his SL potential.....
  4. Yep. For me it highlights what a difference the head coach makes and how the directors have to get that right - hats off to Steve Gill and all. I always had a bit of time for Millward and, even taking into account his desperately sad personal issues regarding the death of his son, he struggled at Cas clearly did not have the buy in from everyone. I feel for Richard Agar at Trinity. He has galvanised them this season and matched what Powell has done so far across the road - but is now being repeatedly kicked in the teeth... Hope it gets sorted.....
  5. Great news for Cas. Looking forward to next season. Need a couple of solid forwards to beef things up.
  6. Stop it. I'm easily embarrassed..... Don't agree. From the posts on here it's fair to say that many fans think its not right that London have to travel to Wigan's backyard for a semi. Forget the £ signs for that 1 game - the sport has to be bigger than that surely? For outsiders looking at our sport it just confirms the M62 corridor mentality. If only 200 London fans travel they are still getting a bum deal. Small minded thinking that will never grow the game.
  7. Must be worth a shilling when nobody is looking.....
  8. London 50-1 to win the cup...... Surely not....
  9. The irony in all this for me is that the RL didn't see the need to issue this recent statement at the same time that the venues were announced. It highlights how little they consider us supporters (their customers) when reaching a decision and what the reaction would be. If they were truly in tune they would have seen the criticism coming and headed it off. Lack of awareness. Lack of consideration. Bit embarrassing.......
  10. Using the same thought process that came to the LSV solution - both sets of supporters would have been fully considered and the game would have been held outside the traditional heartlands - welcome to Doncaster
  11. Bingo! You've nailed it. The reason that the above has not happened is poor leadership at the RFL
  12. .... And there is merit in that. The thing that's missing is communication. Whoever made the decision needs to do the grown up thing & explain to the London fans why they did it. The approach you describe is almost excluding some London fans by inflating their travel costs. That's just plain wrong
