Real sympathy for the York Knights fans.  Crusaders have had to move from their home ground and we are leaking support because of the move; just at the point of time when we could do with the supporters coming through the gates in numbers.  Lets hope York get something sorted to host the game.

Incidentally, gogledd, do you know why we're playing on Saturday? Pity Cefn Druids' ground isn't available.

I sat in at the Crusaders Council on Monday. The reasons given were tha coach advised that there would be better player availability and the General Manager and Board felt playing on a Saturday would not detrimentally effect attendance. It will be interesting to see if our crowd is up or down.  At this point in time we need all the support we can get.

If ever a team had the right to say 'we wuz robbed' it's the Scorpions. Up until the last 10 minutes or so, when the Cru suddenly cottoned onto the impending disaster and got the two tries that won it, it looked like win number two for the South Walians. The final score, which isn't on the Beeb or the Sporting Life website was 30 - 26. As the BBC hasn't even acknowledged the existence of the League 1 Shield, could some kind soul with access to the information about the results post them on here, including today's one from Coventry?

Crusaders played 60 minutes where they either made mistakes or got penalised off the park. The difference between the two team - strength and conditioning - take a bow Adam Daniels for getting Crusaders in good shape to see out 80 minute. Scorpions were totally out of steam after 65 - 70 minutes and Cru turned on the afterburners. Scorpions must be gutted and were far enough ahead to win the game but credit to Crusaders for not giving up and piling on the pressure at the end.

Muzza was talking to a group of us before the game and he didn't think the result was a foregone conclusion by any means, he also wasn't a very happy camper about the way the team keeps making silly mistakes and loses concentration.

Only 343 at Chester RU to see what was only the Cru's second home win of the season - we noticed that quite a few regular faces were missing. There would appear to be no practical reason why the Coventry and Gloucester games can't be played at the Racecourse as Wrexham F.C. are away on those weekends, but apparently even they are having problems with our mutual landlord, so we'll just have to see what happens!

Hornets have Tom Lineham on one wing and Kevin Penny on the other plus Benjamin Jullien in the centers this afternoon.

All good local Rochdale lads?

Actually they are covering injuries and not shunting out regular players.

Didn't seem to do them any good; they lost 34-12.
