Not often I agree with a Fev fan.

You have had a good season results wise but lose your last 3 and it will not matter. Even if you go undefeated it will not matter.That is what annoys me so much about franchising. Trouble is now 99.99% of clubs are playing friendlies every week.

We left ourselves too much to do after our poor start and gave away too many daft penalties late in the tackle count. A very entertaining game which Fev deserved to win.Winning the league is OK but it will be the playoffs when Leigh will cut out the indiscipline and sometimes poor defence and surprise you Regarding the closure of the M62 it cost me a fortune in phone calls from mates stuck on the motorway. Leigh played very badly today and despite the comment about lack of support ask the Batley chairman wether he thinks Leigh's following today was poor. The trouble with franchising is that it maintains the status quo. It does not encourage competition either as franchise supporters might take note the bottom 4 will usually be the same although sometimes in a different order. What is the potential for Fev Leigh Fax Barrow et al ? Well it is to stay out of the top flight unless P & R are brought back so will crowds go up or down whilst we have franchising ? The evidence is already there for the RL. When an experiment goes wrong a scientist will bin it. Somehow I do not have the same confidence in the RFL. People think I am a flat capper because I think franchising is daft. Well I am not and have nothing against expansion. A game which is primarily played at the professional level with local rivalries and around the M62 corridor is not suited to a franchise system.

To be honest I am not worried one way or the other and it does give Leigh an extra days recovery time before our game at Haven. Like most on this board I expect a comfortable Leigh win.

Seems Rovers want Leigh to play 3 games in 11days. Understandable from your clubs point of view.
