Heard of it but never seen it. I watched ‘We will soar’ on Prime. The story of young lads and a lass, completing an American football scholarship in fort lauderdale. I won’t spoil the story but it was very humbling and these kids showed so much respect for the college staff. Worth a watch.

If the tackler lifts the ball carriers leg in the tackle,( when stationary), isn’t the Ref supposed to call held Lee?

All sports in France need to have insurance after a check by the Doctor. It’s pretty much a money spinner, well it was for me playing golf. The Doctor asked me if I was fit and well. ‘Yes’. ‘Ok, sign here. That’ll be €43.

Although these things are done at speed or when a players is falling onto another and his focus is on an upper body part/lending weight into a gang tackle, still should be classed as foul play and as you say, problematic. Unfortunately the RFL occasionally miss these such as the Lacans injury caused by a Halton hip drop, supplemented by Hardaker tackle.

Reserves, academy, foundation, women (relatively new) and wheelchair teams are all doing well. New facilities at Hull Uni. A lot going on that is good. First team is dire.
