  1. You also need to add SE Asian, Korean, Japanese etc. plenty of them around too.
  2. Nope. Australia has 6 states and 3 mainland territories (although one of those territories only has a population of a few hundred people)
  3. It’s multicultural round. It shouldn’t be a surprise for an indigenous Australian to proudly show the Aboriginal flag. More power to him.
  4. Coaches and administrators in amateur sports who overlook their grass roots in an attempt to go for glory poison sports at all age groups all over the world. It’s a mindset they have and they don’t change. It’s infuriated me when I’ve come across it in junior sports in my community. So many junior athletes just leave because of one or two of these personalities take over a team or a club. I get the feeling Lebanon will sort themselves out eventually but the others will be overtaken by other countries that are starting to develop quite nicely. It’s a correction we had to have and it’s a sign of progress.
  5. They’ll be selling 3 and 6 match memberships well into the season.
  6. Have a look: https://am.ticketmaster.com/brisbanebroncos/#/
  7. It’s impressive… but we’ve all probably forgotten any other equally or more spectacular tries over the last 20 years.
  8. Thanks for all the work you do to create, and maintain, this wonderful online rugby league community. I really appreciate what you guys do.
  9. An amusing thing to come out from the matter is that Leniu had never heard of one of the most high profile AFL players ever, Adam Goodes, who played in Sydney. Manly player, Haumole Olakau’atu, has also come out and said he’s also never heard of Adam Goodes.
  10. AFL are very good at getting the few fans they have in RL states to actually attend a game. For a very long time their stadium attendance figures have not been accompanied by similarly impressive TV viewing figure from the same state. The NRL can learn a lot from the AFL regarding how to get fans to attend in person.
  11. Thousands of regular Australian tourists go to PNG each year to walk PNG’s famous trails. The Kokoda Track alone gets 3000 to 5000 Australian tourists annually. If the right PNG government licensed package tour organisers are involved, then I’m convinced away fans could have a wonderful trip. They’d just have to stay within the “cocoon”.
  12. She’s showing her Western Australian roots. Western Australia makes Queensland look like a case study in racial harmony. In some parts of Australia many people can be very “casual” with their language and are remarkably naive regarding how that can be viewed in other countries.
  13. Some comments from the NRL https://amp.nine.com.au/article/595275bd-3359-4d96-95f2-50af12971c1c “We had a 61,000 average viewership on Fox Sports 1 for the first game, which was more than one third of the marquee college basketball clash between Xavier and Georgetown which preceded our games. That figure also compares to some US Major League Soccer games on Fox Sports 1," NRL boss Andrew Abdo said. "The second game attracted an average audience of 44,000. These are the two most watched NRL matches in the US on record. "The audience of the first game was three times higher than the most watched NRL games on Fox Sports in the past three seasons and over 280 per cent higher than the most recent Saturday games on Fox Sports 1.”
