There were 3 for the winning Manly team in 1976, Lowe, Norton, Stephens...and of course the Burgess trio in 2014.

Costigan deal confirmed
Marty Funkhouser replied to League Express's topic in The General Rugby League Forum
Way out GC, your bias showing ever so slightly.. Taylor, Cox, Welham all England or Knights squad, Wigan happy to splash £100,00 on Taylor..Saints keen on Beaumont, Mariano just signed a nice deal at Cas, 19 year old Salter just about an ever present in a top 6 team this year..another 8 academy players have made debut this year or last.. Seven overseas origin in the 17 yesterday, of these Dobson, Paea,Withers and Mika leaving together with Paterson and O' Hara so with an overseas half back looking favourite this would be 6 out 3 in.. a good net reduction..and like all SL clubs HKR will be fully compliant with the rules of the competition.. In fact in contrast to your nasty (but enlightening) little post i would suggest KR deserve a fair bit of credit all round, managing to upgrade the stadium to a very nice RL ground, get a very decent Academy set up running from nothing since 07 and achieving a substantial reduction in reliance in overseas players all while getting a competitive side on the park on on an unlevel playing field ..(this season will be 5 top 8's from 7 i believe)... in fact they are without doubt the ideal inspiration for any promoted club to follow.. Sometimes , no matter who it is, credit is due.. -
Best Player To Never Produce For Eng/GB
Marty Funkhouser replied to thepimp007's topic in The General Rugby League Forum
Sculthorpe was generally superb and always gave his all for GB....along with Morley , the best of the recent past.. Cunningham , although a magnificent SL career, was on the whole, a major disappointment at test level.. -
rumours are wakefield are just about
Marty Funkhouser replied to nath155's topic in The General Rugby League Forum
Excellent young half back, just been picked for the Australia Pms team to play PNG....Wakefield have absolutely no chance of signing him...dont know who makes these rumours up..??? It is pretty common knowledge amongst the game/agents etc that anyone taking more than a 12 month deal with Wakefield needs their heads examining...they have more or less accepted their fate i believe...hence the quality of their recruitment..and the all but likely collapse of the Purdham deal. -
As Neil Hudgell will no doubt point out in due course , I believe a precedent has already been set for away fans, when the RFL decided that Hull FC were not responsible for their fans invading the Craven Park pitch a couple of seasons ago and took action against the home side (Hull KR) for same... Any action should therefore be against Wigan/the stadium for failing to protect the players.... Not my view , but the RFL have made their bed and can easily be held to it....

I know it goes against the grain on here but i think the OP is correct and the point is very worthy of discussion.... The play-off games, mean more, are more intense and of a higher standard and yet draw much less than the regular season.., yet the opposite is true in the NRL..surely we should be at least having a look at the possible reasons..., clubs are missing out on literally hundreds of thousands of pounds of income...

Super support player and try poacher, but eons away from Tompkins and Eastmond in every other facet.....including the all important half back "cockiness" or self confidence...
