  1. Used to share a box with David many years ago. Even when things weren't going well on the field you could always rely on his wit and wisdom to raise your spirits. RIP
  2. There's a rumour to conjure with! I heard it was a toss up between Elon Musk and Bill Gates
  3. Blimey, where did the Broncs find this form? Talk about it ain't how you start the season, it's how you finish it! Whatever they're on I'll have a double.
  4. Just because you don't have a theory doesn't mean there isn't a conspiracy! Have 'Haven sent us the cheque for the extra point for their win that we could (should??) have denied them when we declined that two pointer?
  5. Surely Mr Vella gets a rubbish report after every game he ever referees. Isn't there any sort of monitoring/quality control in place? I'm sure he's well intentioned and does his best but isn't there some sort of mechanism for a recall/refresher course if he is consistently poor?
  6. Batley, Sheffield and Whitehaven away and Fev at home. Not the easiest schedule you might hope for, 2 points max! As to the future, depends on whether you're a half full or a half empty person, some folks talking about a top six finish, personally I'd settle for 3rd bottom. Play up guys, survival is everything.
  7. Time was when JF walked on water and the club owes him big time for what he achieved here. What happened towards the end, who knows? A) Lost his mojo B) Rivals worked him out, knew what to expect, and found ways to beat us C) Conspiracy theory, something sinister D) None of the above Trinity looked like a fair move, super league experience on his CV, probably more brass. With 20-20 hindsight, maybe not such a good call. We've all backed the wrong horse in our time. I think (hope) Feb will cut the mustard in SL and not come straight back down again. Which being the case, James' career will be on the up and up, and he'll have a chance to establish Fev as a decent SL side and put his own stamp on them. Good luck to him in all his endeavours.
  8. 1 for 6, bad day at the office mate (been there, done that!). Compulsory kicking practice this week and come back stronger! Couple of tries though, you're not all bad! Best kicking boots on next week please, Wembley beckons! All the best. WWE
  9. Enjoyed Robbie Paul's commentary (sorry Andy for not listening to you but the lure of the visuals was too much). However, Robbie hadn't done all his homework, wished us luck for the next round draw when of course it was already all done and dusted. Robbie was absolutely incredulous when Danny Kirmond was red carded, if a guy like him thinks it was a bit harsh then there's a good chance it was. Hope the LNER crowd enjoyed the spectacle even if we don't know how many of 'em there were (see other posts). Onwards and upwards. WWE
  10. I misread it too, expecting to see LNER renamed the Rockafella Stadium and not having to worry about balancing the books any more. Who knows, he might be worth his weight in crude.
  11. No promotion, no relegation, no interest.
  12. Capacity 700, I thought they played at Bramhall Lane!
  13. James' contribution to the swearbox must be nearly enough to sign up our next superstar. ####!
