  1. I often moan about the weather conditions for sporting occasions in the UK, but it’s nothing compared to this: https://www.theguardian.com/sport/2024/mar/09/kc-chiefs-fans-amputations-playoff-game
  2. Wigan far too classy for London. London giving it a go but on the wrong end of a good few 50-50 calls. London need to get the basics right to have a chance of winning some games this season.

  4. Even though London are being outclassed, they are putting in a gutsy performance and have had a few unlucky calls. The stadium is compact but modern and there’s a good atmosphere. The pitch is in great shape and not like a quagmire like most of the other pitches I’ve seen thus far.
  5. Was the cost of hiring a stadium in London the reason why there isn’t a game there?
  6. I think he looks like a cross between Tommy Makinson and Marc Sneyd.

  8. Fair enough. Let’s just find the biggest stadium in the UK to hire, do nothing to advertise or promote a fixture, and watch the fans flock to it.
  9. If we are to believe some posters here, yesterday’s attendance was only 30k, for a WC SF. Can forget what Tier nation England were playing - it was a WC SF! I said 30-40k, so maybe target a 40k stadium in London?
  10. And this all ties in nicely to the fact that no one knows for sure when England are playing next, and where. The World Cup organisers had many years to sell out the Emirates, and failed, so why not somewhere smaller in London? 30-40k capacity?
  11. I’d go with with smaller stadiums, and try to sell them out. Sell outs would potentially create future demand as people wouldn’t want to miss out? That would require a proper International calendar, years in advance though, and I’m sure someone will tell me that’s totally the wrong way to generate future interest.
