Andy did say he only intended to take a year out though Robin, which probably finishes June or early July, although it could finish with the school year for student teachers. There is no way on gods earth could he have played rugby and done his NQT year. Matty may not have envisaged just how consuming the NQT year is. "I love our club, absolutely love it". I don't remember many teachers (Ray French being an obvious exception) who played pro RL even in the days when there was much less pressure on teachers to perform.
