Too close to call as both teams are in good form, but if forced to choose, The Reds by 1 score as they're fighting for the top 8's with a sense of apparent injustice.

Salford need the win more than Wakefield without a doubt, but they needed it last week too and were poor. Wakefield have that winning habit and I think they'll do it again here.

As an aside it is possible that Wakefield could go ahead of Saints this weekend. It's unlikely given the PD (unless Hull go and tear them a new one again) but even so, who thought we'd be saying that 3 months ago? Wakefield might just be the story of the season for me.

This will be one of our toughest matches of the season Salford will have targeted this match as a must win for any chance of top 8. Regardless of the result aslong as we keep it together and stay in top 8 this will be a great season for us.

I think you are spot on there, WCL. This is a fixture for which I should be able to predict a Salford win with some confidence, but I can't! Instead, I merely hope that home advantage will give us the edge in a close match.

Very poor from Kirmond, second time in three games he's been sin binned for tripping after being wrong footed. Just as poor from Annakin, clean through with support on either side and opts to go alone when a pass would have provided a walk in try. Salford then go up the other end and score to take a 6 pt lead.

Now BJB gets binned for a professional foul, silly play from Wakefield players who need to get their head out of the clouds and get back to some hard work.

I wondered how two players from the same team managed to get themselves sinbinned!  There was no explanation on Sky, just an aside that Wakey were down to 11 men at one point.

Good win for Salford.  Well done to them.  I hope they keep going as they deserve to be in the top eight this year.

Pretty depressing night but a Wakefield performance like that was always round the corner.  Salford only had to do the basics as we bent over backwards to help offset their recent points deduction.  Mr Bean is certainly the wrong ref to have on a night like that, although I doubt we'd have got much different with Denis Betts 12 year old daughter in charge.

Well played Salford.

This world was never meant for one as beautiful as me.

Wakefield looked tired after a 5 day turnaround and tough back to back games against Warrington and Catalan.

Salford were very up for the challenge and played well without having to be brilliant to beat us.

The soft penalties we continually gave away in the Salford didn't help 20 and the silly sin bins were the focal point of the momentum shift of the game.

Trinity need to rest up and get back to battling for everything, which is what has been the foundation of their good form
