  1. The details: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/rugby-league/68554489
  2. Seems they gave their dual registered opponents Sheffield a good game in the 1895 cup - a bit of biff/dissent too, with each team a yellow! The 345 attendance would have looked even less on their stadium. Dave Hewitt and some big lads will need to be watched.
  3. Rochdale Hornets ……..since late c. 19**’s, but now afar from the town and sadly, its ongoing problems! For the youngsters: Hornets… one of the original 22 clubs forming the “Northern Union” 1895 and hopefully in posterum!
  4. Now a 2nd bidder. “– we’re a group of business leaders who prioritize transparency and accountability who are committed to seeing Rochdale AFC succeed.” https://www.fansnetwork.co.uk/football/rochdale/forum/307132/another-interested-party../#38 https://www.thefootballclubllc.com/
  5. Splendid 60-22 win for Gregg’s testimonial year and for Hornets to take into the opening league game and beyond.
  6. Perhaps Dale will embrace the Hornets and USA colours? “Red for courage and readiness to sacrifice; white for pure intentions and high ideals; and blue for vigilance and justice.”
  7. Despite our 30-14 loss, it would seem to augur well for our league campaign? Hopefully we can turn over the neighbours before it starts.
  8. “The upcoming (Dale) Fans’ Forum is taking place on Thursday 29th February, in conjunction with the Dale Trust. Chairman Simon Gauge, members of the Board of Directors, and Head Coach Jimmy McNulty, will all be in attendance once again to answer questions from supporters. The event will take place in the Ratcliffe Bar at the Crown Oil Arena and is free to attend. Doors open at 7pm with the forum getting underway at 7.30pm. If you can’t attend but would still like a question asking, please email it to the Dale Trust on info@daletrust.co.uk. The forum will be streamed live via the club’s (Dale’s) YouTube channel.” https://www.youtube.com/@officiallydale/featured Dale’s Forum:/5 pages! https://www.fansnetwork.co.uk/football/rochdale/forum/306562/egm-+-statement/#107 For those wondering about the reference of ‘Kingsway” above: https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=&ved=2ahUKEwjs-Lm4z7yEAxUGXEEAHXadBkUQFnoECA8QAQ&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.hornetsrugbyleague.co.uk%2Farticle%2F1208%2Fcommunity-club-launch-plus-facilities-redevelopment-plans&usg=AOvVaw1fwcSvs5UXj3fXVTmNkApc&opi=89978449
  9. Back to rugby……a good second half for Hornets (12 -12) to lose 38-12 and good coverage via Radio Manchester. Hopefully, this augurs well for the Batley cup game and especially the ‘warm-up’ game with those neighbours, again.
  10. That Hornets defeat could be accurate, assuming all those offences were against us, again, by your local ref!
  11. A good comeback 26 -20 to earn a visit to Batley away. Oldham away first.
  12. Hopefully Hornets can gel and improve second half to get more matches…..ht losing 12 -20
  13. Hopefully we can provide a winning performance this afternoon that augurs well for the league season ahead. A win would give us a visit to Batley or Workington in the Challenge Cup’s 4th round, 24/25 Feb. and perhaps a lucrative top 5th round draw. Good luck with the new Midland players: Courage Mkuhlani, Nakoronivalu, Peceli Suguvanua, Wame Ratubalavu and Joe Varo. Ex Forces I understand.
  14. https://t.co/sgW3aMCfpy Early days and our Championship opponents would be determined after their loss to Oldham. Hopefully we shall utilise this experience well, starting Sunday and in preparation for our two games with the neighbours. Certainly from the link above, defence will be high on the menu - of course it’s much easier in front of a screen!
  15. ‘’Great win Oldham…… I guess that Hornets will now have to prepare extra for the Fax rebound next week!” Another good performance from you lot against London - well done! Certainly there was a Fax rebound at Hornets and hope we learn from it. 3 of our derby clashes to come between now and end of March - perhaps we shall infuse whatever you are on!
