  1. And the common denominator in all this is…………..a certain Mr Vickers
  2. Great crowd for Donny, some really positive developments happening at both South Yorkshire clubs
  3. Pensioners should pay extra IMO. What else are they going to spend their money on other than bingo, werthers original and the odd cardigan
  4. I’m surprised by this, I’d have thought he’d get some game time for Leeds this season
  5. He's performed better than Olpherts, and is likely on less money. He's also young and has greater potential to improve. The jury is out on him but he's a better fill in than Olpherts. We're well stacked with young centres coming through, which I expect will take over from Momorovski and Newman in a couple of years. Unfortunately, wing is not a position of strength for Leeds. We do have Jason Qareqare's younger brother Marcus in our academy.........I've not seen him play though
  6. Yeah a good move for all parties. The Rhinos fans can be pretty unforgiving and whilst Olpherts never performed to the expected standard, the fans never took to him anyway. It was a slightly odd signing, which was never well received. There was method in the madness - an experienced winger, who makes good metres out of backfield, to replace Briscoe, but on significantly less money. However, it really just highlighted how weak our youth ranks were for wingers, which exasperated the situation, as fans would much rather have seen a young gun get a chance. Unfortunately our youth development has not been great in recent years which is a bigger frustration
  7. Don’t they also have a policy whereby you have to play in NZ to qualify to play for the All blacks?
  8. Not true. 2019: 18,230 2022: 15,831 2023: 18,264 So they bounced back well last year but on a par with pre covid
  9. That’s a very good crowd for the Storm. Their crowds had noticeably dropped off since covid so good to see some bounce back
  10. Goes against the establishment
  11. Yes, it’s quite bizarre that darts barely existed before the turn of the year and now suddenly because of Littler it’s gained mainstream presence. I know the BBC tend to be behind the times but even this is impressively late to the table for them
  12. There was a rugby league team in knaresborough for a while, I remember playing against them and getting a forearm smash to my face leaving me with a nice gash under my eye. They were a union team playing in the league summer season, not sure if still going. Facilities were dreadful, on a par with some of the worst rugby league grounds
  13. The challenge cup and most internationals are on FTA TV every year. Hardly hidden away
  14. That’s because it’s not been done right before and not aimed at the right audience. It should be focused on the festival style atmosphere, taking place during school holidays with a focus on kids - the Hundred is a blueprint for that in this country. It’s a different target audience
  15. It’s a content filler for the international break and provides clubs with revenue streams for the 3 weekly period. Fans absolutely won’t want to see weakened teams put out for league games during this period
