Yakstorm
You would hope that the new President would be bringing something to the table for the club, otherwise I don't understand why the members would have voted for change. Oxford
Like a lot of things French too many factions and politicking for the sport to progress. Having said that, on the whole, I prefer their outlook and ways of dealing with stuff. Especially after this week here, where prejudice triumphed, and maybe it always does? 2 warning points Non-Political

If you think it's prejudice, then you don't understand the reasons for leaving. Regardless it should not be brought onto an rl forum or certainly not this section

Regardless it should not be brought onto an rl forum or certainly not this section Yes we should always keep any reference to politics out RL or any sport. We should have let apartheid continue whilst enjoying the cricket etc etc etc etc etc I understand what happened all too well. TGG is not one sport, it's the only sport! And this might be another nail in it's coffin.link below again And at least my post was on thread! Montpellier is a club i have fond memories of going to watch when I lived in France and I hope it all works out for them. http://seriousaboutrl.com/more-rl/how-the-brexit-will-change-british-rugby-league 2 warning points Non-Political

Oxford
Don't be so melodramatic!!! Clever, leaving out the rest DoubleD but limited! And not on thread, strictly personal and missing the point. We, in RL, may have lost big time over what should be an unrelated issue but will affect our sport greatly whether we agree or not. Montpellier is divided and in trouble now what does that remind you of? 2 warning points Non-Political

I disagree we will lose out big time or that it will greatly affect our sport. Montpelliers situation reminds me of a well trodden path that many other clubs have been down unfortunately. I hope they come out the other side of it ok as France needs clubs in big conurbations

Prejudice played a role in both camps, but was not the reason for the strength of Leave outside the Capital. That assumption is typical of why the vote was as it was. I hope they come out the other side of it ok as France needs clubs in big conurbations Which goes to show there's more uniting us than dividing us DD. And disagreeing is what a forum is built for even though not everyone seems to agree with that idea! Prejudice played a role in both camps, but was not the reason for the strength of Leave outside the Capital. That assumption is typical of why the vote was as it was. Yes that's true but the kinds of prejudice involved were quite diffferent on either side. I don't truly want to debate it here and just picked up certain things that were related IMO, and or seemed obvious. 2 warning points Non-Political
