Club have confirmed this morning on twitter that we have signed Phil Joy for next season

Great that Phil has signed for next season and with Danny Langtree having another year to run on his contract, we have two of our best forwards signed. Let's hope many others follow with a few additions.

We will all have our opinions on who we would like to re-sign for next year and the list would probably include everyone who played on Sunday.

If you could just name 3 of existing squad who would they be?

My choices;

Kenny Hughes

Michael Ward

Scott Turner - admittedly only played one game but watching the video he looked top class.

Think Tosh is spot on there, a few additions especially in the backs would do me fine, keep the current lads together,primarily because most have played together for a while and know they will fight to the end for each other. A couple of good new signings would see us improve next season imho.

Didn't cas say we can have Gill on loan again next season? I can't see Sheffield being able to carry on being full time so maybe would could get Tyson back.

I seem to remember reading that about Gill, it would be great to have Tyson as the other centre. Wouldn't mind Adam Neal back as well.

who was your 14 on Sunday ? was he the lad on loan from Sheffield . Really impressive , as was Gee when he came on .If you could get Hewitt on a permanent deal then that's a good bit of business. Thought Middlehurst put a good stint in. Any news on the kid that went down after just coming on with a knee injury?

He was supposed to be seeing a specialist yesterday but not heard anything as yet.

I'm glad he's signing but hope there must be more to come. Prop is a key position and as much as I love our existing bunch, i'd love us to gain one nasty. Young Spanner's had injuries but to be honest if he didn't have the clause i'd be thinking hard if he should have a new contract. Hope he want it.

Don't understand what Spanners done wrong tbh, been solid and aggressive when he has played deffo a keeper for me, Gill does have an option for next season as far as I know. Tyler would be a good addition as a fully fledged Yed. Keep these lads together, they WANT to play for us,unlike a certain player at Hornets. Keep um coming Oldham, problem is with so called "nasties" is they tend to come with baggage and a reputation. I would be more than happy if we had the same forwards with perhaps the addition of someone like Bostock of Fev,who has go forward but offloads well. More importantly for me we need to get the backs signed and make a couple of signings there, Turner for sure,Hewitt and Gill also, get Tyson back and we won't be far off.

Him and George spent the entire time after the game at Sheffield with our lads so you never know!

george loves our team all you have to do is look at his Twitter and the majority of his tweets are talking to Oldham players. But money talks he still has a year or two left on his full time contract at Sheffield

But with Sheffield in a bad way financially and with a poor set up there may be an opportunity to grab both if we act quickly. Can't see them being on massive full time money so with (hopefully) the additional revenue from staying up we could attract them?

They've done a cracking job for the club probably on a budget that would have other coaches quaking in their boots.But not Scott,Spanner and our fantastic backroom team,they seem to look at it as more of a challenge. And they've passed with flying colors. They need to be retained.
