  1. I was gonna post a link to the tries but I'll spare you all what I had to watch! Keighley FB page but you might need therapy afterwards.
  2. 3 or 4 permanent signings incoming according to Murray.
  3. Difficult one to call today. We had half a dozen out who would've made a difference but we've played the top two teams with a good chunk of ex SL players. We can score and compete for half a game but our squad isn't as strong talent wise or in physicality. These loan deals never work , they're just a necessity, you need the teamwork a settled team brings. Nice chance to get a win next week , then hopefully start again, i didnt expect to win the last two games and hopefully the injury crisis is the reason for the extent if the defeats.
  4. I think we've done the size thing to death mate, but we had Reid and Key on at one point and apart from that their scrumhalf and centre were bigger than the rest of our team, it takes it's toll. I think we're a decent side but we're having to chuck square pegs into round holes just to field a team due to injuries , then we get in-game injuries on top of that.
  5. They were and Stephenson is a similar player but a. he wasn't playing and b. look at who Hepi and Oggy were playing with. Not knocking them at all , they were fantastic players but if you've got Jimmy and Buck getting you rolling it makes the job a lot easier. Line speed is a factor of course but you can move up as fast as you like but if you can't dominate a bigger player they'll win the collision and get a quicker PTB. If you think a big pack or in fact size across the team isn't important you've forgotten how Thorman's strategy failed spectularly.
  6. You just said everything I was going to say. It was like a Cruiserweight against a proper heavyweight and you'd bet on the heavyweight for a comfortable win every time. Disappointed but not disheartened , it's pure bad luck to have so many injuries when our pre-season had built up nicely. Not looking good for next week to even field a team nevermind win!
  7. For those not on social media , a major new sponsor will be announced later.
  8. Fryer was saying it would put us on the sporting map so it can't be that bad.
  9. When you beat Barrow I thought we had no chance and you'd walk the league , but the momentum has switched. You've had two heavy defeats to good teams and we had a terrific second half against Batley and outplayed Whitehaven twice so really looking forward to it. We need to start better, improve goal line defence and have Sammut keeping his wild passes to a minimum.
  10. He didn't sound happy about it and there was more he couldn't say.
  11. It depends which one though. The one that played yesterday yes, the one that ambled about and didn't look a#sed even though he was captain no thanks.
  12. Archer has had his op and should be in contention with a normal recovery. You think it's easy watching lol? I had most of those just watching Ciaran's kick missing, then bouncing out , then bouncing in in the space of a few seconds! I get what you mean though. What I like is that I've watched so many Town teams go back to basics (boring) when things are going wrong , but this team plays their way out of trouble and the opposition hate it.
  13. Walker was doubtful and couldn't take the final kick so I'd expect he'll be rested.
  14. I think we lacked physicality early on in the game and losing Lightowler was a blow he'd have made a difference, i'd like to see us try to bring in a replacement. Walton is a revelation but he's not the biggest.
  15. Character is the word of today, they never lost belief in themselves and found their way back into the game. Burns for me was key with his runs on the edges, they had to back off all the time and Taylor was class linking up. Some great tries and tbh some soft ones conceded . The Oldham game will be immense but we've been conditioned to play Championship teams so no need to fear them. The Jam are in the bin!
