OK we've still got a day to go before the first semi final (they're named Preliminary Finals in the finals series system) kicks off between Broncos and Roosters in Brisbane.

Actually both this weekend's matches have sold out.

Oddly the bookies have the Cows and Chooks as favourites: $1.70 versus the Bronx and Storm, both $2.10. The Chooks I can understand because of the weight of Sydney money but I really expected the Storm to be favourites, especially in Melbourne.

These two games are intriguing prospects. Either team could win in each match. The odds must just reflect the amount of money being placed on the teams by the punters.
