  1. Great use of the grassy area behind the ground for the stalls, inflatables, games, bbq etc. Speaking to the guy manning crazy golf he had been there since 11am. Most of these activities were supervised by Asians and with the Asian team playing I was saddened to see very few Asian people around the ground (obviously excluding those stated). I really don't know what else can be done to draw the local community in to our lovely stadium. Hopefully the club did make some money from a bumper crowd who all had free admission. There were queues galore and our usual staff and volunteers worked so hard and in this heat. Lads got us the 2 points so was a win win. Wish I could have stayed to listen more to the fantastic Gods of Fortune but work in the morning. Some people did let the sun and/beer get to them and let themselves down. On to Newcastle next, it was a great win in round 2 last year up there.
  2. With under 4 weeks to go 'til the Summer Bash has everybody purchased their tickets? Are you planning on making a weekend of it in York or just attending Sunday for our game? The races being on at the same time has really pushed up accommodation prices, not to mention ale and food being more expensive in York than Blackpool. Thoughts?
  3. There was no clear leader today. I was in attendance and can't pick 3. Good ground out win as some claim but we were really dumb at key moments. Sorry I can't select a top 3.
  4. His entire 7 minutes were a struggle. Samy must have a sand phobia!
  5. McGowan Hodson White Bring on the Bulls!
  6. The wings of Batley have bars and pubs so don't despair just yet. You need to frequent them to keep them open though. Nash at one end (Vic minutes away) and Tap Room at other end next door to Wetherspoons (Cellar Bar up the railway hill). Use them or lose them.
  7. When I spoke to him about a testimonial year he said it would be 2024 season, but didn't confirm if he would be applying/accepting whatever it is they do. I think this is because we signed him in the summer of '13 so didn't play the majority/full season at this level.
  8. Just how you posted about the 2 new players and other players that have signed on again, kinda missed out Keegs. Maybe pedantic but sounded like it had slipped your mind about him in your wording. Of course he is top of your list as he was the first player the club officially announced as signing Must have forgotten about Reilley's 2 year deal.
  9. Signed 3 new players Rog, don't forget the first guy announced was the return of Mr Hirst.
  10. Alistair Leak is in his 10th season for us so can we please extend the courtesy of spelling his name correctly! I'm hopeful he will have a testimonial year with us.
  11. Let's hope both fixtures are Sunday afternoon considering the passing of our Queen. Gives us a fighting chance selection wise due to some of our players holding professional jobs away from the rugby field. Don't let Premier Sports dictate to us.
