RYAN FIELDHOUSE

Might do a job in Ch1 was very disappointing in his season here. Signed from fax thought he might have been one of our top players but got no where near. Had an injury that kept him out of the start of the season but even when fit he didn't do much. Can't say I will miss him.

Homer: How is education supposed to make me feel smarter? Besides, every time I learn something new, it pushes some old stuff out of my brain. Remember when I took that home winemaking course, and I forgot how to drive?

A big if from what we saw even when he was fit.

Has signed for Barrow Raiders, Seems a great signing for us.

And you get his dad thrown in for free, I hear.

We didn't see the best of him at our place and I'm sure the psychological impact of his injury was just as great as the physical one. If he can get his previous form bak he will be good for you, although really he has the class to shine in C1 in any case.

If I was coaching a team, no way would I sign a player who is injured and needs months of rehabilitation before he can enter the field, and that's when the season is in full swing also.

No way!

If it's your own player (Z Johnson) that's different, but an unknown commodity from elsewhere? No way!

Are you talking about us or Barrow here LR?

If it is us then you should know that we had already signed the contract with Fieldhouse before he got his unfortunate injury.

One of the downsides of players signing a contract for another club whilst there are still matches to be played for the current competition.  I wonder if clubs have thought of including a clause saying contract is null and void if said player is injured in remainder of the current season.  It will be interesting to see how the Johnny Campbell/Bradford Bulls scenario turns out.

All I will say is good luck,he said in a statement I want to further my career but not at Dewsbury, no disrespect to you,but championship 1,really!!!

Maybe he wants to play first grade and Dewsbury couldnt offer that and Barrow can and thats why he said he wanted to further his career. Sometimes what people say and mean are lost in translation. Decent Fullback and its no doubt the injury he got sent him a few steps back and he needs to play to progress further. Can understand why he would maybe look to take a step down to progress.

Some good points there. When we signed Fieldhouse I think the majority of rams fans were very happy, but then unfortunately he picked up a serious knee injury, tbf he would probably been better missing the whole season but the contract he was on dictated that we get him back playing asap. So like I say good luck with him,if you get him back playing like we know he can do all is good,if not he'll be a expensive luxury.
