22 May KO:20:00 League 1 Rd: 7

York City Knights v South Wales Scorpions

The BIG FELLAS Stadium

One positive - nice, wide playing surface so hoping for a dry night

Understand Colton dislocated his finger Friday night & the bone came out through the skin so he needs an op which is bad for him and us

Was told that Radio York said this morning about 3 new players coming in - anybody got any info/clues/names??

Probably those that Hunslet have just released, but like Gav, I don't care.

I don't care if you don't care

I don't care that you don't care that Gav doesn't care, but we can hardly afford to lose more fans and sponsors can we?

New long loan signing (as per Ben Reynolds) from Cas - Jordan Howden - to be involved tomorrow night, he's a half back/fullback, have a look on youtube, sounds like Elvis is struggling injury wise.

Possibly a leading amateur player signing in time for the game & still in talks with an ex Championship player, Colton out for a month with his finger injury

Talking of players (and coaches..), there will be some very disappointing news coming out early next week on someone leaving the club, which is partly due to the on-going stadium row, but not entirely.

Sounds like a very different side tonight - new signing Scott Glassell straight in and hooking with Casey Canterbury, Harry Carter & Nev out injured/ill, possibly Lee Waterman on the wing, Jordan Howden at half back

There was some superb rugby played tonight, mainly by York who won 70 0. One can not but feel so sorry for South Wales in travelling so far, getting stuffed and then having a five or six hour journey home. I'm sure we all wish them well in the future. I must give them their due in that they never gave up..

For the first 12 minutes we never got out of our own half, full credit for the defensive effort. For a club with the potential of the Knights we should not be in this league, if the owner had any interest in the club we would have kicked on from winning promotion and be well established in the Championship along with Featherstone. What has been achieved there is fantastic, smart ground, good community based club in what is little more than a village compared to York.

Very professional performance against a team who to be fair were missing a few of their best players, I'll go 'outside the box' and say Brad Nicholson for MOM - he's getting better every week

Thanks to Fev for their excellent hospitality (no pork pies, but great Lasagne & wedges instead!)

Spoke to Haynsey & Kris B before the game, sounds like Haynsey could be out for a while longer so all the best to him on getting sorted, Kris pot off this week & back in 3 weeks - hopefully him & Colton back at the same time will be massive for us
