RFL media briefing......bit more detail

Recommended Posts

There's plenty more people that read these posts than answer them so your dumb reply can be the vehicle for a look at Sadler's article 20/1/2014 "Why the rebels didn't walk out"

"Last tuesday six rebel clubs prepared a document for discussion....which included an alternative league structure, and the governance of their competition"

They didn't carry the vote to get these changes at the time but they have now managed to get their way with the new appointment given their six votes win the day every time now. (Catalans abstain BTW)

So it just ain't the case that the RFL as the "overarching body" run everything at all, it never has been, and between your three great minds none of you has posted a scrap of evidence otherwise. ;)

That article was written 2 1/2 years ago - how long until you stop quoting it? 5 years? 10 years?

It's chip paper now

Im confused by this lie that is being repeated about the clubs getting their way on the SL manager. Reading the job description it is not an independent manager like Hudgell wanted at all.

Another loss for the rebels despite what Billy Liar says.

Not sure there's any point responding but firstly yes the RFL can enforce a reserve competition and the fact that........

My point still stands that you and your fellow mates who think debate is to just troll need to just look up a few real facts and listen to some people who have the answers to the questions we debate.

Todays RL&LE - copies available if anyone is interested.......

Nigel Wood insisted that it is up to the SL clubs themselves to sort out the shambolic reserves structure. ……..a compulsory reserves league would only be launched if that was the overwhelming wish of the clubs…….The RFL as a governing body is expected to lead to an extent, but we lead with the consent of the clubs”……..

On The general manager job taking time to sort out Wood said “We just wanted to make sure we properly understood the SL clubs vision of what the role  was

There is of course no point me responding to you or anyone else egging you on, but again quoting the original point and the now definitive answer will help other people who want a proper debate to understand the relationship between RFL and SL. The six rebel clubs now have the upper hand in terms of providing the consent for the RFL to act, and it shows.......

Hmm. How many of the rebels have reserve teams?

Why arent they forcing the rfl to make it compulsory?

Oh yeah, because there is no such group and clubs all decide on individual things on their own merits, just like always.

How are you so sure what was written by Mr Sadler is true or even valid some 2 years later? Given the more recent story which will 'rock the sport' still hasn't materialised, as Wood says, 'just media noise'.

Where does it say that the Clubs have 'managed to get their way' and how does that correlate to your comment re; 'their six votes win the day...'? The RFL have publicly stated that the Clubs have been consulted. Nothing more, nothing less.

Who has stated that the RFL 'run everything'?. Where did the infamous 'rebel clubs' reach such an authorities state that they can provide 'consent'?

You seem to be happy to juggle people's words to suit what you would like them to post and then want to hear their 'evidence, to prove the contrary. But your ''evidence' never appears, does it? It might exist on 'clippings', within your 'definitive' quotes or maybe even whispered from an 'insider', but it never appears or carries any factual truth.
