New Bulls Coach...?

Recommended Posts

Great appointment if they can get him

When Wigan had Maguire he brought more than first team coaching skills he created a new ethos at that club and got involved with every level of coaching and player development

Trent did that at Catalans as well

The best coaches coach the club so on that basis, he will be a very good appointment - if they can get him - because Bradford really do need a overhaul as soon as possible

At the Workington game, Jimmy's last in charge, neither Green nor Robbie were in attendance. I thought this very odd when they're both clearly on good terms with him. I wonder if they were overseas...

Mr Avenger is telling the truth.

For me a fresh approach is needed. We have only ever sacked 1 coach as the Bulls (Cummins) in 20 years. Every coach we have had in that time has been promoted from within or had a connection with the Club. It has worked for so long. When Brian Smith took over players like Karl Fairbank, Roy Powell and Paul Medley were taught how to tackle again. A blanket, from scratch training and learning ethos. I'm not always a fan of having overseas coaches but I feel we need it. I'm happy with Diskin for as long as possible. He'll be a good 'un.

Marc and Robbie were in attendance last Sunday.

It'll be one of Cartwright or Smith. Both great NRL pedigree.

Where were they then? Because neither were to be seen during the game.

I'd be happy with Cartwright. The club is in a mess at the moment and needs a strong coach with no previous club connections, friendships or emotional ties. We've had enough 'Bulls' Legends' running things in recent years and look where it's got us.

I like Morro and believe he'll make a good coach eventually, but he's not what we need right now. As comparison, look at the difference Tim Sheens has made at Salford.

And when they found our shadows

Grouped around the TV sets

They ran down every lead

They repeated every test

They checked out all the data on their lists

And then the alien anthropologists

Admitted they were still perplexed

But on eliminating every other reason

For our sad demise

They logged the only explanation left

This species has amused itself to death

No tears to cry no feelings left

This species has amused itself to death

Well, you could be right, but I would be surprised. Hope they do get someone who will get 'em going well.

Nothing else matters does it? No matter which team it is!

Yeah, both were in the CTF Legends stand after the game when I went to interview Jimmy.

No, come on Gamey, you're helping hide the truth here. They were in Irkutsk signing up the former Russian coach, come on fess up! ;)

I don't know if it has been suggested or mentioned before, but if the 'old boy connection' is the preferred method who better than Paul Deacon, it doesn't seem that Wigan are as good since his departure, and the best the international team has played in the last 7 years was when he was assistant to MacNamara.

The Bulls could do worse than trying to lure him back from the dark side.

Fair enough if you saw them. Must of just been a really weird coincidence that neither were in their usual positions for the whole game while Ferres was sat by himself. Also really weird that I saw neither on the Legends seating area. Hey-Ho.

Sorry, it was the comment that "coming out with some stuff" as if I had made it up myself and the inference that it's something that I do frequently that baffled me. I didn't even pass comment on it! Still don't really understand, but I'll put it down to crossed wires. I agree though, I would be surprised if it happened to be him.

Very hard to say. I suppose Cartwright has had a head coach role and would have the stronger CV, although there was talk of a drinking culture at the Titans in recent seasons. Rohan's pedigree seems to be as an assistant, and that's not the same thing as head coach. Rohan would also have some strong connections as well. Which may be both good and bad.

I really don't know. Probably Cartwright but that's not with any firm conviction.

I would be very surprised if cartwright or Smith would come with ferres still being there or without the promise of money for signings. Unfortunately the bulls don't have the money to get rid of ferres and don't have enough money to pay the wages required for decent signings.

Brian Smith, generally, had money as soon as he landed. So, his knowledge of Bradford (I would imagine he still has current links) might influence his son?

if there is no money, why not Morrison? Could be wrong but I don't think that's dead in the water.
