MK to decide his future at Red Devils at the end of the year

Recommended Posts

It'll be a shame if he does leave but he does bring a lot of the stress and issues on himself by putting himself in the front line all the time. I've got a lot of time for him but his crusade against the RFL when he blatantly broke the cap was ridiculous. If you don't want a cap, work constructively to get it changed. I'm still not sure he even utilised the marquee signing option this year.....

His record in RL is pretty appalling, although if he was responsible for saving Salford then that is a big tick, although we dont know if they would have survived with other support just like loads of other clubs did.

Hopefully he will stick around and sort out his self proclaimed failure, but it wont be easy.

Maybe he should have actually focused on Salford more than the RFL.

As MK said, he's had a stressful time recently, and not just regarding Salford and his gripe with the RFL. Saying he'll wait 'til the end of the year is a positive thing, as the people at club (like Sheens) have several months' chance to convince him it is worth sticking at the job. .

He needs to buy/should have bought the Bulls,

I do hope he stays on at the Red Devils for a few years.Off course he's made mistakes but we all do that.

Most people admit they've made mistakes and learn from them.

His continued rants on Twitter aimed at Nigel Wood and the RFL says he hasn't

I think salford have made progress on the field this year. If it wasn't for the points deducted they would have made the eight. They seem to have the right people in place at the club. Hope he stays and just keeps himself in the background, let the playing side look after itself (sheens and Watson seem more than capable) maybe focus his energy on getting the crowds up.

"I will never sell the club onto another owner. I will put in place fan ownership, the season ticket holders will become the shareholders and they will elect a president, chairman and board."

The press suggested all would be OK as the Sale owner wants to buy it, but this quote, controversial as ever, seems to knock that on the head. What do Salford fans think of that?

If he did sell it to us couldn't we in theory sell it back to Orange? We aren't a huge club with a big fan base so it seems one of the various stupid ideas. Defended this bell for 3 years and i really can't be bothered to continue. With the salary cap and crowd manipulation to cover loses he can fack off.

Can't see the guy walking away he just enjoys the publicity too much.

Getting headlines and attention are like a drug to the bloke, its been all quiet for him for around a week or so, therefore

he comes out with this press release just to get another 'fix'

if he was going to leave i don't think he'd make a big fanfare about it.. This is all about generating a will he/won't he vibe and at the end of the year he announces "i'm staying!"..

If the rumors are true about Bradford he might try and buy them if he can unload the Red Devils.

You just said that ship had sailed in another thread. Must have come back to port pretty quickly.

So the ship has sailed but he still might try and rescue Bradford if the rumours are true? Right then!

He'll spot that one easy enough so I read it that he'll sell it the fans with a clause they can't sell it on.

Given that the fans won't have much to buy it with he may do you a deal at £10 each.

Just a daft comment for me.....

I think MK has been bitten and he wont let it go so easily - if he goes from Salford he will want to succeed somewhere else and Bradford does look a good proposition - if you read Greens comments I have to say they are a far better bet all round they just need a winning team and its all there

Greens winge about beer sales is a bit odd, but MK could buy out the pubs anyway so a bit of win win or even establish a proper leagues club at Bradford - if ever a model from Aus is ripe for copying its a leagues club in Bradford with a developed Odsal

I hope he doesn't sell up or if he does to another owner with some get up and go like Orange - I for one will miss him and he has brought some spice to the competition - its a real shame Salford were deducted points but the rules apply - he wouldn't be going then

And according to Watson and from the recent recruitment there is a spark of hope, all that costs so there is money in the system somewhere there and no one signs on to lose their job next year

This is an open letter to Marwan Koukash

Dear Doc,

I haven't written on here for a while because I've been much too ill. I want to encourage you stay in RL and with Salford so long as you and your family feel they can manage and are well.

The game needs more people like you, not less.

You're actually doing a far bettter job than I ever expected when you came  so new to the game.

I'm hoping that a Salford fan will passs this on to you please keep the faith.

I'm afraid I can't write much more as it takes it out of me.

Regards
