GMcK
Workington Town is delighted to announce that forward Alex Szostak has committed to the club for the 2017 season. The hard running Scottish international forward will bring experience and size to the team as Dave Clark assembles his squad for the new season. Szostak has a wealth of experience in all divisions of the Rugby Football League and the 6 foot 2 second rower is renowned for his hard tackling and solid defence. Szostak “I’m raring to go. I can’t wait to get into preseason and I’m excited to be part of the clubs plans for 2017. The fans here at Workington are second to none and are so passionate about their rugby. I’ve loved my time at the club and I hope that I can help the coaching team by passing on my experience and knowledge to the side and look forward to the new season in League 1’’ Town Director Gary McFarland said ‘’ Alex is a great addition to the squad. He never takes a backward step and is an aggressive tackler. He has an excellent playing pedigree and I’m really pleased that he’s committed to Town for 2017’’

homeandawayer
I'm pleasantly surprised by this. He's a big player for us with his workrate but looked like he was playing on one leg when he played last year. Maybe having another op to sort it .
