Wigan Game

Hoping that Wigan will be bringing a strong team for this one to get a few more fans from both teams through the turnstiles. Any news on how tickets sales are doing for Wigan?

Weather forecast looking good for the coming weekend might mean a few going to the seaside.

The lads should be up for this one hopefully,

Rams 12-40 Wigan,attendance 2468.

As much as I hate saying this, I think we just put a team out against Wigan without worrying about the result, or even the performance, and hopefully not add to our injury worries.

We have two big games coming up straight after, and though I don't share BSJ's optimism, IF we can pick up points against 'Haven and Fev then things will look a little bit rosier.......... One thing about Morrison's time in charge, is that we seem to be able to pull out decent performances when the odds (or 'bigger' teams) are against us............and that's the case in the next 2 games.

It isn't all ticket although Wigan have been selling tickets to their ST holders apparently, with fewer than 1000 having gone so far. I expect us to put out a scratch team with every player who has been carrying an injury to be rested and a lot of the 2nd team getting a chance.

Rams 10 - 65 Pies

Att: 2250

Come on lads! Wigan should not be putting that score on us! If we play to our potential and start looking commited in defence we can give Wigan a scare! I'd be extremely dissapointed if we lose by 60 to 80... That would be embarrassing! Then again some of that tackling at Sheffield was shambolic. Even Elsie Fryer may walked over some of them attempted weak half hearted tackles. I'm expecting a positive response, because if we don't get one it could pretty much be curtains for Morro after Wigan and Haven. I don't believe Morros lost the dressing room but nows a good time for the lads to show better commitment. A good promising effort at home to Wigan is needed. Talk of playing reserves will just ###### people off. Paying full whack to play our kids v Wigan would not go down well and I don't believe for one minute Morro will go down the reserve ruite. Let's all try be abit more positive now if we can?? . I'm pretty sure Morro wants to turn it around just as much as us lot.

Hopefully wel all rally round and be 1000 rams fans there Sunday atleest . Can't see the Rams loyal fans missing this one ( so 700 home fans at worst guaranteed.. . Imagine some local interest though too so hopefully takes us over 1000... not much build up on Twitter and facebook though ?? Hopefully our media team can attempt to create a big build up( as best as possible considering our recent poor form) We did beat the Bulls in cup after all???? Maybe we're just focusing on Wembley this year??

We had a midweek important game at Sheffield on the Wednesday though BSJ. Can't see Morro doing it this time

Whitehaven on Saturday night, lots of minor injuries.

I hope that I'm wrong mind you. In the "good old days" we would never put out a weakened side for a cup tie.

It's only two years since we played Wigan in the cup and I've been thinking about the comparisons between then and now about both games.

The slow interest that built up to the last game, which was all ticket by the way, and which culminated in a cracking game day atmosphere, helped by a good crowd in attendance, plenty of media interest from the forum and loads of drip feed information from Tom Coates (he needs to come back please) that had everyone very excited by the time of the game itself.

Not forgetting the fact that the players put in very good performance for three quarters of the match, had me walking away from the game feeling very contented indeed.

This time round, it's not all ticket, media interest is low and it's as though we're playing a run of the mill league game that doesn't seem to be getting any build up at all.

I hope you draw Batley.

It's been a few years since we had a Heavy Woollen team in the semis.

Narr we don't want to meet to early, Cup Final day will do nicely  B)

Now what are the odds for that one I wonder? Eat your heart out Leicester City  ;)

A lot of doom and gloom about injuries and lack of form flying about on the forum.

We've got a day to go before the game, so now is the time to start getting behind the team and get some positivity going.

The Dogs didn't do too bad last night.

Just getting away from the game for a change, and thinking in terms of commercialism, I hope that the club has got plenty of cold beer stacked up for the potential thirsty customers.

We need to pull in every penny as possible today, as we don't get many games like this in a season.
