Anybody know why the Yorkshire V Cumbria U19/Open age double header this weekend is being played at Sandal RUFC,surely there's a league ground in Yorkshire available that could have benefitted from some extra income from what should be a decent crowd.

2 of our boys played in the open age game and enjoyed it there but like younsay must be somewhere league wise for that game to take place!

Good clubhouse, but the lights were poor and the pitch sloped so why are we putting money into a Union clubs coffers when there are League clubs who could have benefitted from the extra income.

There was a charity game at Stanningley between St James' & LGI on the same day. Can only assume they got in there before BARLA... still, Stanningley isn't the only rugby league club in Yorkshire!

Is there a match report anywhere?

Scrappy game to be honest,Cumbria failed to take their first half chances and should have gone in at halftime with a bigger lead than 14-8,Yorkshire's bigger pack running down the slope started to get on top at the start of the 2nd half and deservedly got back on level terms, then the ref got involved and sin binned the Cumbria stand off for apparently using "harsh" language shouting at his own players following the try.

During this period Yorkshire played some good rugby and ran in another 10 points to seal the game.

A tough hard game, still enjoyable despite the error count and pedantic ref.

All to do with the hire costs of the ground and refreshments.

Carlsberg don't do Soldiers, but if they did, they would probably be Brits.

Stanningley have hosted the event for the last three years now, and the costs wont be the reason as the costs were minimal, I booked it so I know. I believe the reason it was taken elsewhere was  that it was left too late and the field was already booked.

ST's hit men strike again, surround yourself with yes men and you get chaos.
